If I can sound a mild note of alarm, I note both Brian Herbert and Kevin J Anderson are also both attached to the project, the latter as a “creative consultant.” These two have published something like a dozen Dune prequels and sequels which appeared to be an experiment in diminishing returns. I must admit I find it contradictory to complain about whitewashing, and then in nearly the same breath, complain that the movie doesn’t do enough to explore the concept of a self separate from one’s physical shell.

You know, I have no idea who Cyborg is, what a mother box is, who Steppenwolf is, why Flash’s dad is in prison, what a parademon is, or 90% of the other things you mentioned are.

I think they’re going to have to consider very carefully what makes Star Wars “Star Wars,” otherwise it becomes just another sci-fi series or else repeats the same stories over and over again.

I didn’t have an issue with them all dieing per se, just thought the predictability and lack of audience connection with the characters meant it didn’t really carry any weight. Imwe and the robot came closest, but even then it was a bit shrug, ah well.

I also feel terrible whenever I try to play renegade, but c’mon. That Merc at the top of the office tower in ME2 is going out the window, every time, all the time.
