FWD or RWD? Either way, ND!
I’ve never understood these things. It’s like taking the best parts of a motorcycle and a convertible... and building something with what’s left over. Or... how to have some of the fun of a motorcycle and some of the usefulness of a convertible with the bonus of looking like a dork when driving it.
This is a really piss-poor take and I really hope it doesn’t end up in the slideshow tomorrow.
Make shipping companies pay for the carbon they spew out into the air burning the nasty, unrefined sludge that they use as fuel, we’d see them looking for ways to use less, or even no fuel really quick.
This is the very definition of NOT understanding the assignment.
It’s also not ‘one simple thing’. Commercial ships have been designed without sails for over a century, and they’ve been optimized for cargo efficiency. Adding some sort of auxiliary wind-power is going to cost (and reduce cargo efficiency), designing ships around it will cost (and probably reduce cargo space over a…
They were still a hoot though, with all that torque, and a short wheelbase. They weren’t fast, but from idle to 3k they did alright.
The LT1 F-bodies were much better than the competition at the time (1993-1997), which included the SN-95 Mustang (basically just an updated fox body), and essentially nothing from Dodge. The Stealth came out in 1996, and in 1998 the F-bodies got a refresh and the LS1. They were far from incredible, but even further…
What??? These are still cool to this day. One of the best looking cars of the 90s.
The LT1 and LS1 F bodies were not too bad.
The WS6 Firebird could run low/mid 13s stock, which was pretty awesome for an accessible pony car.
No go? Weren’t these quite a bit faster than the Mustang competitors of the time?
I would say the SN95 Mustang GT. Barely ran a 15 second 1/4 mile if equipped with the 2.73 rear end gears. The brakes were super sketchy. The seats felt like half-inflated pool floats.
I don’t know, but that version of the Firebird, with the WS6 package had some get up and go. And also had HORRID visibility, like I test drove one when I was 16 or 17, and I was only a couple inches shorter than I am now at 6 foot tall, and you could barely see past the hood in front of you. Also this things are long.
Whenever those VW vanogan things come up at whatever ridiculous prices they go for, this is the vehicle I always present as an alternative.
The company is also aiming to cut salaries and market spending by $800 million with “the remainder coming from significant reduction in all areas of business, including engineering expense, travel and administrative costs,” Barra reportedly said.
Did unemployment and divorce send him to Trump, or did Trump send him to unemployment and divorce?
It seems like cutting support stuff like marketing, finance and HR would be more beneficial than cutting engineering or manufacturing unless these are middle management gatekeepers who don't actually engineer anything.
