Here’s a handy pic showing the difference:
They were popular and sold a bunch but those that knew, the MKI MR2 was a better car in every way. Then in 1988 when the supercharged MKI was released it was over for the Fiero. I will say, the GT looks better than the MKI MR2 to a current set of eyes.
I see cars like these that are half the new car average selling price, cost virtually nothing to maintain, very little to drive regularly, and have good resale values, and scratch my head at people buying $50K gas guzzlers while complaining about egg prices. A car is a depreciating asset. Buy something cheap to own…
This list is practically every hybrid car on the market within the price range. The only ones excluded are listed as “not tested” by CR.
Wait, so if I like the effects of nicotine, I’m a douchebag? Maybe I should just smoke cigarettes then. Do you like 2nd hand smoke? Not everyone that vapes are crazy cliche cloud chasers. Most of us use compact devices that emit very little vapor. It’s called confirmation bias: the ones you see making big clouds are…
If the hood bulge gets any taller your going to need a periscope to see forward.
What do you think most semi’s have under the hood? The straight six is more robust and less complicated.
It’s amusing to me that the selling points for the Ram HD, are an engine and transmission designed and produced by someone else.

these cars have none of the expected benefits - (a standard issue Corolla gets equal or better mileage) and all of the expected drawbacks. Hard no dice.
The regular (blue) windex is still my g0-to.
I’m no lawyer, but I believe that in most states, a dealer can slap a dealer plate on to a car (covered by their blanket insurance policy) and drive it effectively forever without titling it. And any car that hasn’t been titled is still sold as “new”.
So maybe the dealer’s wife drove a 300 around for a year on a dealer…
The ingredients for the kind of person we know this guy probably is are all here: Lives in Phoenix- the Florida of the west. Check. Chevy Silverado in the garage. Check. Making lame comments about it not being made in China, which is just plain stupid. I’d bet money this is a generic, trump-supportin’ white dude who…
It’s not gone. The listing expired, probably due to it being priced a bit too high.
I applaud them not cutting this one up, but I think the price is a touch high.
It’s 30 years old. ND.
“thick ASCMcLaren plaque in plain block text bolted crookedly to the engine cover is kind of cringe”
ND for all the obvious reasons. It’s a personal monument to a close friend, not a tradable asset.
