Ooooh. A hundred horsepower out of 1753cc’s. Even boring passenger cars are hitting 100HP per 1000cc’s now. Sport bikes are hitting 200hp per litre. My new dual sport bike makes 77hp out of 689cc’s and it is half the weight of the Harley.

You mean the guys copying the style of the original FXRT sport glide?

This looks like a copy of the custom scene all the boutique builders have been doing for the last several years like my local guys Barnstorm:

I don’t mean to be a Harley apologist but take a look at a new one. The baggers have tons of tech. Some features that Ducati and BMW don’t have. Like abs under engine braking just to name one. Plus it’s more reliable than a BMW or a Ducati and holds its value better. If you don’t like it fine, but I just don’t get why

Definitely, someone looking for a comfortable touring bike isn’t going to be cross shopping super bikes. Even if the new S1000RR is a pretty cool bike, it’s not going to fit their needs. Personally, I currently have a Trident 660, but I want a Street Triple R eventually.

Apples. Oranges.

They’re gonna sell the bejeezus out of the Low Rider ST.

I see your Super Coupe and raise you a 2004 Jaguar S Type R.

I came here to find this or post this

You missed the biggest difference. The mortgage backed securities mixed low and high risk loans into the same tranche; washing the bad loans and making it difficult to judge (and price) the bonds.   A lot of firms bought them thinking they were gilt-edge AA and AAA bonds.

At a certain point you just stop feeling bad for people. Buying too much car, paying 10% with a credit score over 720, investing in subprime loans. I just cant do it anymore. I mean this trend has been happening so long now, my empathizing cup is overflowing now and I just cant do it anymore.

There you go with reasonable facts and data to refute a story. Take your star. Still, this sure explains how so many people are driving around in $60k trucks.

It doesn’t take a crystal ball to see where things go from here — just a passing look at what happened a decade ago.

Same with BMW of Manhattan. Corporate owned.

I just find it odd that this is the one and only case where people around here assume that a large multi-national corporation is going to be inherently more altruistic than a local business. Customers are going to get screwed no matter who it’s by.

Wait...how did MBUSA pull off owning a dealership?

This is the only real answer. Limo companies who make their living on a cars reliability and cost per mile have leaned heavily on the Panther platform Lincolns for 20+ years. With regular service, reports of 400,000+ mile cars on original drive trains are not uncommon. Cops loved the P71 Crown Vics. I’m still kicking

Wasnt going to comment on Panther because there were already 200+ comments and figured it would be first but amazingly I have to scroll down to the 6th or 7th thread of comments to find this. No doubt.

I had a 1992 crown vic in HS as my first car in 2000. It was originally the fire chiefs car of a small town near me. It was the best! My father left a rag in the intake one time when he was doing maintenance and started it and drove home... rag went through the engine...retrieved the rag from the oil pan, ran fine for

I scrolled down a long way looking for this. There is a reason that Panther platform Town Cars formed the backbone of livery/taxi services for many years and Crown Vics were the standard police car (though I think the former is more telling than the latter). Different versions had different quirks, but if I was
