Buick Reatta. GM even said it wasnt supposed to be sporty, but still “sporty” (....?)

If it was ICE and a sedan, I’d be ALL in, hahaha.

I will say that customer interest hasn’t been particularly high for the 4 cyl.

It makes me so happy that the Mustang is still a “real Mustang”. I’ll reserve judgement of the screen until I see one in person, but this is an honest to goodness muscle-sports car that, in the world of new cars I couldn’t give a shit about, actually gets me excited.

I will say...this is one thing that is nice about living (really) close to work. I can drive a 15 year old car, live in an affordable neighborhood (Ohio...) and have toys.

I think you are confusing “petrosexuality” (whatever in tf that is) with hobbies.

If you go more than a couple hundred miles from Albuquerque, like toward the Rockies, into northern Texas, etc....you won’t find a charger. You have to strategically plan your gas and motel stops. There is still a wild west in this country...and good luck finding a charger.

THIS is the real answer. I only drive used cars, and I tend to drive older cars that are affordable (I’d rather invest my money and have boats and motorcycles if I can have cheap, fun cars). I have an 86 Lincoln and a 93 500SL. And I’ll continue to do that and more people will as they may not like the choices they are

when the market fails to deliver desired outcomes” As if the government has an excellent track record of determining what is best for us. See: The food pyramid. Iraq. Operation Mockingbird.

This pains me as I ADORE these cars (I have a Mark VII LSC). However, this is about $20k overpriced, and I’m being generous there.

Mostly just inner cities

This is the way.

Few reasons, largest is that I typically don’t buy new cars. And all the shit on new cars is pushing me toward older cars than I used to look at. Besides neuroticism....

We could just not have electric cars.

From purely a design perspective, absolutely!  However, I don’t remember them having the space issues that a lot of new cars have, albeit they were all pretty big cars.

The Edsel. It is the first car I can think of that encompassed two pieces of body panel (quarter & truck) with the look of one lens. Very popular now, but in the 50's, they were mostly vertical, or sometimes weirdly, in the bumper.

If you are purely talking design, I have to go with the high-beltline greenhouse combined with the ever sharpening rake of windshields.

It’s maybe a littttle pricy, but for as clean as it it, its honestly worth the money. And to the commenter “worried” that the odometer might have rolled...these 300CID I-6's are legendary and are known to last 300+k miles. Not remotely a concern.

There is zero possibility that I will be able to teach my dad how to pay for “fuel” using an “app”. Not gonna happen. When I explain all of that to him, even if he wants an EV for his next car, that will intimidate him into oblivion.

Great comment.
