Actually, automakers quit making them, as the Automotive Press derided them for years, and the manufacturers responded with, “but hey people...we make giant SUV’s and bigger pickups that feel the same way!” and America shrugged and said, “Well, I guess that’ll work.”

I’ve owned my fair share of cars like this. A Mark VII, four Town Cars, a Continental and a Grand Marquis. An 07 Town Car was my last before two C-Class leases and now a Tacoma and old-ass Accord that split daily duty. I miss my big American cars. I’ve learned to not sell a perfectly functioning car as the subsequent

How in the hell did a HUMMER end up being maybe the most beautiful fully electric vehicle I’ve seen?

Have you seen the price of an Escalade Platinum?

Completely Impressed

I have one of these in my neighborhood. I’d rather live next door to an Angels clubhouse. I am being completely serious.

I’ll keep the one I have: 2016 air-cooled Bonneville T100.

Don’t just take it from me that car dealers are useless middlemen; ask any automaker executive after a drink or two and they will tell you how they really feel.”

David, your assessment is perfect. It’s just.....not great. Not BAD, but not great. Based on the teaser photos, I maybe had my hopes too high.

I love that Tesla did this. I’d like to see others follow. Its all BS. And when there ARE problems, it falls on us at the dealer anyways.

What I would like to see is manufacturers stop giving a shit about JD Power. It is super annoying for us car salesmen when “survey season” happens.

This is similar to what I posted to, albeit slightly different takes. I haven’t heard of E/C going to one line, but it worked pretty damn well when it was the CLK, so that makes sense. Also, I hope you’re right about the SL. I’ve actually been afraid of them making it too ‘sporty’

This is so perfect.

As a 10 year salesman with Mercedes, while they’ll never read or listen to this, here are my recommendations to chop:

I don’t think as many people’s situations changed as it appears on paper, hospitality excluded. We also have a higher percentage of doctors, lawyers and accountants as clients than the population as a whole, obviously.

Sad :(  Maybe my favorite new car on the market. Time to start looking at used ones!

I work at a Mercedes dealership, and we just had the best month in our store’s history. Its not all doom and gloom out there.

I think this actually shows how FEW people have died. 1/4 of capacity in one motorsports stadium. Its not really a lot, in all honesty, when you look at the things people die of every day.

I’m a bit biased because I am a personal friend of the presenter (I had an Eagle for MANY years and is how I know him) but I can tell you that he holds most of the history knowledge in the AMC community. Be sure to check out his other videos on his Automoments channel...especially the Pacer documentary.....; they’re
