LOVE THIS

Ford had really rich looking interiors in the 80's, whether you were in an Escort or a Town Car. Compare this interior to a Taurus 8 years later. It's actually a lot like looking at the king of ugly below. When I was a teenager, I went from an '87 Mark VII to a '97 Grand Marquis (then to a '98 T/C)....the interior on

Wish they'd show a front on pic of the dash. The assortment of buttons, shapes, sizes is a great example of GM's sense of humor. Or, at least I hope that was their goal.

It looks so deliciously European, if a little big. While the first-gen Taurus was a very non (for the time) American design, the little bit of AMG-style moldings, subdued alloys, and grill-less front end with spoiler, this was the best looking Taurus ever, and maybe the best looking car of the 80's.

The nuttiest thing I have ever done was to fix my AMC Eagle after I wrecked it. And, it was bad. I went on a forum, made a post. Someone with 25 of them responded to me (600 miles away, no less) that he could fix it. Couple thousand dollars, six months later, my AMC Eagle is flying again. New fabricated battery box.

Dammit! This was gonna be mine! (Full disclosure...I HAVE camped in an Aztek..cough...my mom's in high school...cough...and....it works quite well.)

I have to include myself in the Panther Militia you have whirlled together. I had a GMarq, then a Town Car, then a 2011 Camry SE. The Camry SE handled a lot better. But that "sporty" ride meant my back was WAY more sore after a while than those comfy-ass bench seats in the Panthers. The A/C worked WAY better. With the

Ok. Maybe not the best engine ever. Possibly near the worst. But, there is no denying the Rover 3500 engine is small and a V-8

In Britain, yes. N. America....it sort of doesn't apply because its sold here as a motorcycle.

UGH!! If this was only last year, I would have said the Lincoln Town Car. Body on frame? Check. SOHC V8? Check. Nav available on a $40+k? NOPE! Now...I might have to say the Jeep Wrangler. Even though its been around with a 'j' in its model code since the beginning of time, it is actually nothing like anything else

I'd have to go with the Volvo 240. Or a diesel Benz W123. But the Volvo is the king; the original. Some on the west coast say an original or even, per your suggestion, a restomod Falcon. But being in the midwest, its totally the Volvo. Plus, you never know who is going to get out of a car. A 240? The stereotype

It's kind of like, "Have you ever wondered how the man who drives the snowplow drives to the snowplow?" In this case, "Have you ever wondered how the BMW on logs gets off the logs?" Except, unlike the Snowplow's VW, I do not have an answer yet.

Here's my issue....the logs being uneven...MEH..just details! But...once it is parted...how exactly to you get it off the logs??

The 2014 car, by contrast, gives an immediately better impression. The piano black interior in my S trim tester looks reasonably modern. The 2014 car has its rear wheels pulled back by 100 millimeters, making the highway ride more sedate. This also gives more legroom in the back and makes the Corolla the biggest car

I sold Toyotas for a long time before walking across the parking lot of the company I work for to sell Mercedes-Benz's. When this generation ('09-13)...I remember thinking at a training seminar...."Ok..aux. jack is good. I'm 6'4, and the new telescopic wheel is nice so I don't have reach my whole upper body forward to

You're a hillbilly for saying a Japanese all-electric outsold an American hybrid? Huh? I drive an AMC Eagle for-fucks-sake. While arguably more hipster than hillbilly...that would at least deserve namecalling! Wowsers...no wonder you're afraid of Volts!

There are SO many good ones missing. Like the final years of the Cartier Edition Town Car (I've had one)....you got a gold clock that would run and hide in the fetal position if it saw the craftsmanship of a Timex. Gucci has put its name on some very odd cars...from AMC Hornet Sportabouts to Fiat 500's. Ooooo...and

I really thought that was a Saturn. WTF is THAT ridiculousness????

Yepp...lol

This was BADASS. I remember thinking...whoa baby! A masculine looking hybrid. Oops. That didn't happen.
