Not even an issue. I hated the whole Thunderstrike Thor thing (also note the “unworthy” ass-pull from an assinine crossover used on Odinson, I could go on...). Was never fond of John Walker!Cap. And both of those were without the predecessors getting retconned into Bad Person For Plot Purposes.
The multiplication of these various heroic legacies makes business sense as it broadens demographic appeal and seemingly suggests new directions for film adaptations as actors age or opt out of their roles.
