I really wish Kotaku would post something on that 4 player Super Metroid race because it was AMAZING. It was one of the most entertaining things I've seen in awhile. Found the video on youtube:

From playing about 40 hours of the game it's more fun to run around without the best gear to take people off guard and freak them out. If anything it's also better because you wont' get shot on sight as much and can actually have some very entertaining player encounters.

I'd like to see Nintendo stick with the handheld 2D or maybe even 2.5D versions while they branch out and give more studios a chance.

Kinda confused why you latched onto that. It didn't sound like that was a point they were trying to make at all they were just saying it's the largest because they wanted to make the Alien feel more extraordinary.

I'm really excited to see a completely different type of title from CA. I think they're gonna do a really good job given the chance to branch out. Also gotta say it's great to see a studio finally going for a different take on Alien rather than just the shooting gallery. I'm gonna get hyped for it - don't care.

Well there are a few PS2 games available on the PSN store. I haven't checked in a really long time what's on there so I guess I'll take a look!

Haha I hear ya. It's been hard enough to convince any of my friends to get it yet. The $30 for pre-alpha is a turn off, but I'm having a good time just running around and meeting random people.

Kinda depends on what you mean by stable. It plays well enough, but there are some issues that need to be fixed that might make you second guess the purchase. There are frame rate dips in the towns and cities making any pvp in them kind of frustrating. There isn't any active loot respawn yet so no loot in areas until…

I think prerendered backgrounds are SUPER underrated these days. Just take one good look at the RE remake on gamecube and tell me that if used today it wouldn't blow people away.

I know what you're saying, but I don't agree with that. Traditionally we've associated JRPGs with certain characteristics but I'm going with it's a JRPG literally because it's from Japan. I don't consider Child of Light a JRPG even though it looks like one because it has turn based combat and what I can only guess…

I'm also absolutely certain there will be a new Souls game to play on next gen. Sooner rather than later.

Probably doesn't help much but Mad Catz has a fight stick either out already or coming out for KI. If you're just a pad player though you might just have to deal with it or wait for a new pad to come out unfortunately =/. SF4 had some really nice pads if I remember correctly.
