Please point out the federal law that compels states to collect information for federal agencies.

You mean like the states that are trying to pass school sponsored prayer? That was banned by federal law.

So they can legally drive, and buy insurance. That way your sorry ass is protected if you have an accident with one of them.

The reasoning behind the law is that it requires them (like the rest of us) to receive training, pass a driver’s test, get their vision checked, and know the rules of the road. It also allows cars to get insured, providing more safety checks and resources. There are already 12 states that have this law on the books

Because the State of New York decided to issue their documents as they see fit.

No Tesla is just being a dick, the dealer bought the car at auction, verified the FSD and Autopilot were as advertised in the auction, there is a picture in the article the dealer took verifying the functionality. I’ve seen the official title to the car that states it was sold to the dealer on 11/15, and the 11/18 date of the audit came from Tesla themselves. It does not appear the dealer is lying about this.

Does not fucking matter. It was configured with those features and they didn’t own the car when it was ‘flagged’. This is bullshit. 

But remember, Tesla sold the car on 11/15. When they did the audit, they were no longer the owners of the car.

It is bullshit, they are assuming that you replace the battery at 100k miles. Which no one does as the battery last way more than that. Even worse, they assume that you replace the larger battery at same 100k miles as well which is even more stupid. (cause battery lifespan is mostly about cycles, so larger battery…
