I live in LA. In the past 10 days, I've seen 3 motorcyclists avoid getting killed by lane splitting. It was all the same thing, a car coming up behind to fast and slamming on the brakes too late. The bikers were able to scoot between the cars ahead and get out of the way just in time.

I've met him a few times, once with his Miura. He's an honest, all around good car guy.
