Yup. He was terminated as an FBI agent and the contents of his desk given away - including “a jug of what appears to be some kind of canola oil”.

That very well may be true, I’m just going by what was presented here. The author did not quote any known deleterious health effects.
This statement seems at odds with the scientific consensus that there ARE many adverse effects in humans (see https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0890623813003456 for a meta-review some years old). The logic of the above argument is refuted by the old maxim ‘absence of evidence is not evidence of…
Y’all are gonna make me cry before I go on camera. I love ya. Thanks so much for reading. The TV Club has quickly become my happy place. It’s a joy to write for you guys.
Lots of reviewers have said that making Hooded Justice black was a change from the comics...even though it really isn’t because everything that we knew about HJ was speculation.
Joelle,
I feel some mild panic at the sheer amount of stuff that needs to be wrapped up in two episodes. I sincerely hope Lindeloff keeps his promise and this really is a self-contained season, but there is so much left to wrap up.
The Superman actors are a wonderful coincidence, but Bass Reeves was an actual person.
Oh, and one more thought that just occurred to me: Will is inspired by seeing the story of Superman (brought to us via the American immigrant narrative, as symbolized by the accented newsstand guy whose copy he looks at), thinking it mirrors his own story, but the actual baby cast away from their home planet in this…
It looks like they’re doing The Long Halloween. The problem is The Long Halloween had multiple issues to play out, not 2 1/2 to 3 hours tops.
the dark knight rises was a remake of that.
Veidt isn’t orbiting Mars. He’s on one of the moons of Jupiter, probably Io, Europa, or Callisto.
It seems like common sense to not have to say this, but here goes anyway:
Every single person that had something to say about the original design needs to get their ass to a theater and see the movie. I can’t think of another time where a movie studio immediately listened to the audience and backtracked this publicly…
Luckily most Star Wars fans are easy going chaps, and don’t mind a touch up here or there to established canon.
OH! A PREDICTION!! I wouldn’t be surprised if Laurie ordered him to follow her...
I think Petey is Lube Man, they look like they have similar frames. His slide into the sewer was cool!
You forgot Sean Doolittle, who is the very best of the Nationals. Doo is the best. He had the guts to state publicly why he wasn’t going. And he and his wife walk the walk and talk the talk in community activism. They hosted Thanksgiving dinner for Syrian refugees and got the community involved, when he was with…
This is s very fair critique of the recap. I love Laurie, and I wanted to explore what bring her back at this juncture meant for her character and for the show. Next week I’ll focus more on what’s on the screen. Thanks for taking the time to read it.
As a huge ‘Watchmen’ fan, this episode was THE GREATEST. And yet I dislike the approach of this review. It leans way too much on prior knowledge of the comic instead of addressing what’s actually onscreen.
