I know MK probably didn’t start the ‘stage fatality’ gimmick, but it’s really striking to me how much BETTER these are than just about any stage finishers in recent MK games.

My response keeps veering between “What the shit” and “Oh, of course.” This prettymuch sums up the world that we live in right now.

I’m calling that full on Trump hair, myself. I bet it’s even removable and that it sits like a helmet when not worn.

Exactly. It’d be a hell of a thing if Sega was this magnanimous whilst Sonic also happened to be a flagship title, but hey, they’re not and he’s not. Still nice of Sega to give the wink and the nod, however.

While it’s really cool to see this interesting bit of Blizzard apocrypha finally see the light of day, I kind of think they’re in the right about not releasing it. I applaud the efforts to realize a Warcraft adventure game, but the art style, as well as some handling of the overall tone, feels off. Not bad,

I don’t know if this has already been said, but man, the ‘monolith sandwich’ look of the Pro model is something I’m just not feeling. I get how well it differentiates its appearance from the standard PS4, but now all of Sony’s modern consoles look like disposable razors with extra blades, and that’s terrible.

This is the problem, really. Wanting to like a game that can’t quite shape into the thing you want it to be. Almost like there might be some transitive element that will either make the game more like what you want, or maybe make your point of view come around to what the game is, until after enough time, it’s become

I don’t really care all that much about the Olympics, but goddamn.

I’m actually kind of happy how this design looks. Kind of like a roided out Apple TV. Much better than the third PS3 design, anyway.

That just makes me want to see a super, super, casual DGAF version of McCree. Like he doesn’t even pretend to be anything on his days off, just eats wings and goes to yard sales looking at lamps and stuff.

Survival Metal Gear where you build your own ragtag group of warriors in the waste looks cool. Carbonite zombies, not so much.

I’m starting to get a vibe where, maybe developers have a better chance of making the games they want to make if they cobble it into a Call of Duty side project.

When I saw that I was like “Oh bejeezus. How does this guy even breathe?”

I think some of it in this comparison shot is the unfortunate lack of arms. Obviously Godzilla has them, but they’re kind of lost in the shot, and even if you do know they’re there, they’re easily the tiniest arms he’s ever had. Gives him a bit of a T-Rex quality, you know?

Now I’m just wondering about some kind of micro-episodic game where plot and gameplay and flattened into brief instances like just like this, released on some kind of quick turnaround with intentional spacing, to create this weird, sustained serial. It might be inhuman to ask of a development team. Or maybe it would

To be fair, this does match Sega’s traditional level of craft and quality control when responding to Nintendo doing anything.

I love these guys, in spite of whatever abandoned Mom-and-Pop store hiding a lost dimension they seem to get stuck in most of the time.

Good news is, his expected expenses are very nearly already covered.

That hat’s so cartoony, at first I thought I was seeing a fan .gif
