This is the absolute perfect truck for most people who buy trucks. Therefore Ford will sell about a dozen of them and they’ll be discontinued in three years.

1) If there was stuff to workaround, and he worked around it, then yes, blame the driver - because he’d have put real effort into it. Every check might have a workaround, but they involve effort and by design it’s non-trivial effort. But there’s nothing to workaround in a Tesla, lowering the barrier-to-moron to

If this was any other car, the driver wouldn’t be able to do this.  Tesla is unique in their refusal to use seat weight sensors or cameras to ensure there’s actually a person in the driver’s seat.

Excuse me Elizabeth, but this is clearly another short-seller hitpiece on noted philanthropist and Tony Stark-irl equivalent, Elon Musk. I have been assured by numerous people online that he is an amazing and perfect person, and by extension so are his companies.

HI DAVID THAMK FOR READING THE EMAIL ONE OV US SENT YA, GARY IS A SWELL GUY. I CRANKED MY AIR COMPRESSOR FOR HIM TO

This country relies on the big-hearted nature of the citizenry to make up for the greedy fucking assholes that have bought our government.
Yes, this story is wonderful and indicative of the inherent good in so many sub-cultures. Yes, this story is also an absolute indictment of the country’s complete lack of anything

BEAUTIFUL. GOBLESS YOU DAVID

Yep. This isn’t a heartwarming tale, this is a damning indictment of our healthcare system and the effects of weak labor protections.

All of this because he lives in a country where the cost of healthcare would kill him otherwise. This is all great and warm and fuzzy, but let’s not forget that this would not be necessary in a country with a working healthcare system for its citizens.

That’s a pretty pricey car. Be a real shame if something happened to it.

Hey no one is forcing you to stick around, or click on the article, or comment multiple times.

Did it take the fire department four hours to put out the fire from that crash?  Was there nobody in the driver’s seat?  Can you see how the two are different?

It’s too bad all the Elon fellatio enthusiasts coming up with theories about drunk drivers and people being thrown into passenger seats couldn’t read the source article, where a family member confirms that only two people were in the car when it “went out for a spin” and that the owner’s body was the one in the back

eh fuck you, pal, that’s not what it’s about at all

I like the writeup, and I’m seeing the arguments I expected to see in the comments as well as some other comments that aren’t arguments (sure, they’re there.)

If a truck buyer honestly defends their purchase, I think most of us would move on with life. The problem is the truck buyers who are defending their God-given right to do whatever they want with no regard for the society they exist within and impact. This is not about trucks; it is about selfishness.

Resent it or not, it is VERY evident that’s what anti-truck people think. Every truck related comment section on here bears that out. Going after the author for saying something objectively true is a weird complaint. Going after the sentiment, and not the author would have made sense. Limping in the author is weird.

I think it’s a bit weird that anytime this debate comes up, truck drivers feel the need to come in here and defend their buying decision. Like anyone cares.

That was really well written. Thank you.

Did you read the article or just skip it to post that?
