I gotta say my favorite cheap bourbon is Ancient Age. It's really smooth and drinkable bourbon. It doesn't taste awful. Definitely way under $20.

See this is what I'm talking about! Sounds amazing, for sure. I've had Arthur Bryant's... meh. I will definitely get down to Jack Stack next time I fly into KC. I do love burnt ends, so maybe on the way out I'll hit Oklahoma Joe's too. I have family in western MO, so it won't be that far into the future.

If you like barbecue, I would recommend either Blue Smoke (they have a downstairs jazz spot too I think) or Dinosaur (my favorite).
