Oh no, I never published that stage, it was just a pointless bit of fun. I haven't published anything on the retail server just yet, I'm working to rebuild/improve a few of the ones I made during the review period. When they're good to go, I'll be sure to post the level IDs.

Oh man, we should really form some Gameological Splatoon Squads.

Cool kids from Gameological v.1 will find it… familiar…

NNID: ducktastic (same as my twitter and tumblr)
I've got plans this weekend, but I hope to start posting some sweet levels next week. Check the videos in the review from Wednesday for some examples of my level designs so far.

"We’re going to be doing something a little different next week. It’ll be fun. I promise."

I wouldn't be surprised if Metroid Maker came first. "You keep asking for a new 2D Metroid game. You know what? YOU do it!"

I'm in the same boat. When it was first revealed my reaction for weeks was "eh, seems okay, I guess, for an eShop thing, just to hand my levels to friends or whatever…" Later trailers raised interest, but it was the Nintendo World Championships before E3 this year that elevated the game from curio to full-on "OMG PUT

You are, unfortunately, not even close to being the first person to think of this.

Yup! Several skin colors, cat furs, and some more Mario-centric pointers for both left and right handedness, though the hand only appears on the TV, not the touchscreen.

No joke, the very first stage I made in this game I scanned my Rosalina amiibo and just had her hop around a few pipes that showered her with coins. No enemies, just a happy Rosalina getting rich.

Kuribo's Shoe is available in both SMB1 and SMB3 modes (replaced by Yoshi in SMW and NSMB modes). If you shake it, you get Kuribo's high-heel. If you drag a mushroom onto it to make a GIANT Kuribo's Shoe/Heel, you can do a ground-pound with it.

You CAN time-travel to unlock faster (build for five minutes, get the notice of tomorrow's new gear, go to the wii u settings and move the clock ahead) but I strongly recommend taking your time and really getting comfortable with each day's set of tools. The "10-Mario Challenge" mode features stages built by Nintendo

I'm in for this. I'll be sure to post ID codes for levels I'd like people to check out (the videos above are a sample of some of the stages I designed that the review community played).

My feelings exactly. While the five stages at launch of Splatoon felt a bit stifled at the time, if they had released the current crop of eleven all at the start I would have felt overwhelmed and it would have taken much longer for me to get comfortable with the ins and outs of each location. Now, when they unlock a

The Wii U controller has a touch screen.

Multiple exits would have been a big boon in my opinion, as you can see in the fourth video above where I had to force all the paths to the same end-point somewhat awkwardly.

I'm sure there was a third-party system that matches your description full of Nintendo games. I'm also sure it was super not-legal.

If it's not an official piece of Nintendo hardware (Wii, Wii U, 3DS all have downloadable NES games) it's technically illegal. That said, you can totally illegally play NES games on virtually any piece of modern entertainment hardware, though you're inviting all sorts of "tsk-tsk"s and "for shame"s in the process.

I've seen people title their levels in ways that suggest they should be played together, like "[username] 1-1" "[username] 1-2" et cetera. If you see something like that, you could easily hope over to that designer's profile and see all the levels they built and play whichever you want. I agree, though, that connected

As frustrating as it was at the time, I'm actually really glad that the very last thing to unlock [SORRY ABOUT THE SPOILERS, I GUESS] is warp pipes. They essentially double the size of your level and there's way too much opportunity to lose your design when given twice the canvas.
