Raph is gonna take the helm and this site will exclusively cover 60's-90's Japanese vehicles and beat to shit drift cars using questionable grammar and excessive superlatives.
“Maybe I’m getting old and grumpy, maybe it’s time for me to leave this business...”
Rory, this is obviously a heartfelt piece and I appreciate that. As with almost everything you publish here, it’s very well done.
All joking and bashing aside: I can read about climate change and all the world’s problems anywhere. When I come to Jalopnik and click on a review of some crazy Bugatti, I want to escape reality for a bit and read about the ultimate car.
Is Jalopnik no longer a car website? Is this why David and Torch left?
If you haven’t heard the story of why she is no longer at the position she left here for originally, it’s great.
Logistics aside (e.g. getting day-to-day supplies in), why would you think a ban would have made a difference in this context?
Torch and Tracy are gone for less than a week and I’m already seriously considering removing this site from my feed reader :(
Ive heard alot of people say that, and ive resisted it... maybe due to the very good David Tracy articles... bit this... this is just next level...
On a CAR centric website?
What the fuck is this? Written by someone who has no concept of reality outside of NYC? On a CAR centric website?
Literally nothing you typed is based in reality. It’s just what you WANT to be true.
That’s actually exactly what we’ve seen over the past couple weeks. Carry on
Police are arresting peaceful protestors, while the left applauds. Never thought I’d see the day
I’m all for the police arresting the protestors at this point, but this:
I met Torch briefly when I bought my truck last year, he was nice enough to meet me in an empty gravel lot in an undisclosed location in North Carolina. I got to drive the Chang-Li and he got to whip the Beige Unicorn around the lot. It was exactly as awkward as I hoped it would be.
Careful, pointing stuff out like that either gets you nuked or a comment section all together nuked Deadspin style.
Normal dollies couldn’t get the Tesla off the pedestal this owner keeps it on.
