I notice that you continue to dance around giving any viable solutions to this, only ranting and raving about how everyone else is wrong but you. That’s not exactly going to change thing, you do know that?

Yes, because “you’re the problem with gaming” is such a valid argument.

You’re so cute with your tantrum, but you are repeating yourself - you just copy pasted this same whine on another response.

OK, explain to me then, if you can, how they can just be plug and play, when they can’t do so on the PC either. Please, I’m listening, or do you just have childish insults to hurl out when you run out of arguments?

*Shakes fists at the sky*

Exactly. It’s weird that people get so tribalistic over something as mundane as that. My only complaint with the XO is that the original HDD is too small, and while I’m ok with putting a USB connected external on the side of the machine, it does seem like a silly thing that Microsoft wouldn’t let the consumer just use

Wouldn’t know about that, since I don’t use the cloud feature for backups. I’ve heard of people using an USB for saves, but I’ve got a 1tb HDD currently in the PS4, and that’s perfectly good enough for all my saving and gaming needs.

For someone who cries out for reading comprehension, you missed my point pretty spectacularly. I was specifically responding to your argument that the machines should remain simple, but they cannot be - simply because we demand more from them.

Right there with you. Sometimes tech just doesn’t work. No big deal, that’s what warranties are for. My very first PS3 was broken out the box, and I had to wait until the store got a replacement, but that was what it was. There’s millions in circulation, and no tech ever has had a 100% success rate.

Why? Why should they? If you want them to offer more, bigger, and better things, then why on earth shouldn’t they also become more complex machines? Both the PS4 and XO are doing more today than any console previously, and are fully capable of being updated to do more in the future. That alone is enough enticement for

I’m torn about digital. On one hand, I’m happy with Steam, seeing as most games there get good discounts and even if I don’t like the product, it’s rarely enough to consider a lot of wasted money (although now they’ve got that terrific return policy). On the Xbox and PS4 so far? Eh, it’s convenient, and I’ve got a few

The thing is, the consoles ARE easy to set up. Do they take a bit of time and effort? Sure, what doesn’t? But if you honestly think we’re still in the SNES era when you plug and play stuff, you’re just sadly mistaken. I’m happy with both my consoles, despite initial waiting times to set up MS accounts and such. But

You’re comparing video games with movies or books in storytelling. Something like Uncharted is still primarily a game, which happens to tell a great story, and the action in between is the main deal that the players are there for. Everything in regards to the actual cut scenes and story? Fantastic. Filled with

It’s really cool that Witcher 3 is bringing back so many great characters from the previous adventures. Feels like one big reunion.

Good thing you’ve come to that conclusion based off something taken out of context. However, for us who enjoy the story and the characters, this has every reason to be in the game.

Boy, you’re just having a really tough time admitting that you made a mistake, don’t you?

This is the original quote:

It does make it out of context, we were specifically talking about the story. I’m sorry if having a strong, clear, opinion makes you feel like someone is being nasty, but that’s not the case.

I didn’t realize that was a story element.

Yeah, but that game is for only people who are mentally still children.
