Sooooo, I know it's none of our business or anything Samer, but...you've got someone working on a Regressing post trying to figure out whose wives, right?

I'd like to think he fucked bubba's wife.
What?! A Disney sports movie fudging the facts?! Next, you're gonna tell me that the 1988 Jamaican bobsled team was NOT anchored by guys named Sanka Coffie and Yul Brenner.
I just made my morning coffee using all the heat generated from this scorching hot take.
You don't like a guy pimping his homers? Don't let him hit homers.
Once again proving that the only consistent unwritten rule in baseball is: "baseball players are whiny little bitches."
I'm a lifelong Cubs fan. Believe me, the vast majority of us know Big Hurt was a top three hitter of his generation and among the top 10 RH hitters of all time.
" I also grew up a Cubs fan."
If you think a career .301/.419 OBP/.555 SLG slashline with 500+ HRs and more walks than strikeouts is "very good" and not HOF-worthy, you need to stop watching baseball and maybe follow a sport you can understand.
"large in stature and athletically fit" is my new favorite euphemism for black
That's exactly right. There are a disappointing number of Cubs fans who are like, "Theo sucks! He's been in charge for long time and they're not winnign! This is bullshit!" One blog took a look at the FAs who were available and showed what they could have done and how little it would have changed the team. (And,…
You'd put Alcantara above the holy trinity (Bryant, Baez, or Soler)? Are you slamming Theo or praising him? I can't tell.
I'd tell you that the Cubs had a similarly large western network thanks to KWGN in Denver being a Cubs' broadcaster until the Rockies came to being.
They are investing in the team — they've redone their Dominican and AZ facilities, hired more scouts and upgraded their scouting infrastructure, and outspent everyone in the international draft. The fact that they didn't throw stupid money at Albert Pujols or Josh Hamilton isn't indicative of a team that's giving up.
They're not pocketing anything. They are investing in their ballpark without public funding, the correct way.
Anti-Cubs? Jesus, talk about kicking puppies.
It is and it isn't the Cubs' fault. Theo inherited a farm system bereft of any real talent and a team full of aging players with awful contracts. He is building a winner - it's just taking time. Also, fuck the Cardinals.
I wouldn't call it an even split between the Cubs and White Sox. The Cubs had WGN for years, and have fans across the state and country. The White Sox have.....the south side....
The idiocy of this comment epitomizes your entire tenure at Deadspin.
