No more concepts. Just announce the damn thing Kia. It's an interesting enough idea and would certainly help your CAFE ratings. Getting all these crossover drivers back to 40mpg would be great.
The Miata clan would revolt, probably while in their local VW waiting rooms looking at pictures of oil leaks.
*ba dum tss*
Yeah, I confused airframe vs. needing to basically redo the interior, comms, and avionics. Of course the 8/8i does offer performance upgrades.
The VC-25As are OLD, like old as sin at this point. When the repair costs begin to cost more than if you had bought a new one, not to mention the increase in risks as the whole airframe ages, it's time to buy a replacement. ALSO ALSO ALSO, Boeings orders for the 747-8/8i are slowing, to the point there is some…
But will the old VC-25As be available with MaxCare?
We'll see. I tend to think we should make them try to hit it.
It does seem to be targeting the next wave of uppermiddle 30 year olds. Like Audi did for all those years.
Welcome to the gray! We're the best kind of fray!
You saw the Snohetta currency proposal too? SO good.
But, with SAE/CHAdeMO that's 30mins for ~60miles of range. With Tesla it's 170miles... SO...
They did, the issue at hand is that both, the SAE Combo, or CHAdeMO standards don't really go beyond about 50kw. Tesla started the supercharger network at 90kw, and then decided that was still TOO slow, and went to 120-130kw chargers. Of course the standards don't support this, and Tesla wants to do a lot of close…
Imagine the pilgrimage we could have, I-5 backed up in every direction, subaru to subaru...oh wait that's rush hour.
It's a short term patch up, turbos and direct injection aren't cheap, but they're less expensive than hybrid systems. And they weigh less.
I share your feelings that 200 miles is too good to be true, but factually, to make the Supercharger network function, they need everyone at that 200mi range. The chargers are set about 80-145 miles apart, ~2hours by interstate, which is a little less than the average stopping distance when road tripping for a piss…
This WHOLE comment thread is glorious, like an APPL trader's chatroom right after the iPhone introduction, or first year of sales numbers when people were still going, "Yeah, they're totally gonna fail, I JUST KNOW IT MAN!"
