Jaime showed his indifference toward innocents back in the first season. He killed Aerys when his father was sacking the city and Aerys ordered Jaime to bring back Tywin’s head.

The “unearned” crowd really seems to be the I want the LOTR happy ending crowd with Jon and Dani living happily ever after because uncle Jamie put the sword though mean ole Cersei’s chest. This story has been about defying expectations such as a nice clean redemptive arc. Or as Selena would say the Heart wants what it

“Guy constantly loses everything” isn’t really much of a story

Because it was. It was the saddest codependant relationship you’ll ever witness.

My thoughts exactly! Yes, it would have been great to see Jaime break free and live a happy life in the north. But that isn’t life, and he has literally lived his life for his sister, doing everything to be with her. He wanted to be free, but that isn’t where his heart was.

Of all the issues with the closing of various storylines, Jamie and Cersei’s ending has got be the least problematic. People try to leave toxic relationships but often fail to; deaths are rarely as clean or poetic as we hope. I thought them dying together, albeit fairly pathetically like anyone could, made as much

Jamie spent 90% of the series as someone else’s prisoner, and he died trapped in a cage... in a dungeon. Trapped in a foretold destiny, enslaved like a Stark to what they think is their own version of honor (lost, regained). I think he has one of the most tragic stories of the entire series... he lost everything and

For a second I thought we were getting a remake of this, from when I was a kid.

Everyone else is living in a novel, but Arya gets to play Assassin’s Creed. She crawled out the library window, fiddled with the cursor until “Press X to murder” was hovering over the Night King, and went for the stealth takedown.

As far as how Arya got so close without being noticed. Even without face switching she was trained as a ninja priest of the God of Death. They foreshadowed her sneakiness in the Godswood a few episodes back when Jon was like “I didn’t even hear you coming”.

I’m thinking it’ll cut to a workshop underneath King’s Landing with Anthony Hopkins working on a robot white walker in a lab. It’ll be discovered that Arya was the only human all along and the whole thing is just another West World theme part based upon the show we’re currently watching... only he didn’t count on Arya

Westworld is better than Game of Thrones

I’m disgusted, this money could have been spent on football.

We get it-SPLINTER IS AFRAID OF BETO. You can stop now.

Jesus. I honestly didn’t think it at the time, but you guys are actually scared of Beto. I don’t much care for him as a presidential candidate and think he’ll fizzle out. He’s the John Edwards of 2020.

I think you guys are being a little unfair. People on Splinter and in Texas are already pretty familiar with Beto - but the country at large, probably not so much. To introduce himself to those people, he has to start from the beginning explaining the formative influences in his life.

I honestly believe whom ever the Nom is, their Veep choice will be the opposite gender,

Like O’Rourke, I played in a punk band when I was younger

“...O’Rourke’s record in office as a fairly middle-of-the-road, pro-business Democrat,...”

Why would you assume that? What makes you think adding a progressive to the ticket would be anything other than a cynical ploy to garner favor with the left without actually committing to progressive policies?
