You should hook me up with whatever you're smoking.

Nintendo's not doing this to profit off the mobile market. This is pure advertising. They're putting out trailers and free minigames to get the Nintendo properties in front of kids' faces.

They're bringing in new kids. Parents don't buy their kids (Nintendo) consoles anymore, because letting your kid play some shitty games on your iPhone is enough to keep them entertained.

Well, kids don't play console games. Do you think there's a better strategy leading to console purchases, or do you think we just won't have consoles anymore in 10-20 years?

Absolutely not. Nintendo knows exactly what they're doing.

Gamestop owns CBS?

Because the artist thought it was cool/interesting? An artist doesn't need a reason to age up the characters for a personalized alternate cover.

This track blew me off guard when I was playing the demo. I was enjoying the whole experience — then when I was scrolling through job abilities my mind noticed what was playing and I was just staring into space for like 10 minutes with this song washing over me.

You buy a Nintendo home console for Nintendo first party games. If you want to play third party games, you buy Sony (or MS).

I'm just worried because of the sheer amount of hype this title managed to pick up.

Why bring 'honor' into a discussion about companies? The bottom line is the only thing that matters, and honor would be little more than an unnecessary expense.

You keep talking about the meta but you haven't once compared the meta of the two games at all.

I'm in the same boat as you. Dota's current metagame has a lot more dynamic variables, but I don't expect that to stay the case as it's played as a sport for more and more money. Dota's current metagame reminds me of League during season 1, before the meta started becoming much more sophisticated and balanced.

But that stuff isn't front and center. It doesn't feel consistent. League has done a really good job designing their universe and their characters, giving them life and personality, and letting you know that stuff is there from the get go. It absolutely feels like its own game

I love monopoly.

>luck-based characters in a game played as a professional sport

League gets a lot of flak, but there really are a lot of female characters that aren't traditionally beautiful...

If Dota2 continues to be played as an e-sport, the game will change considerably, and a lot of the things Dota2 diehards like it for over league will go by the wayside.

Does Dota2 even have more non-humanoid champions than League? League really does have more, even though you see them pretty infrequently — from what I understand about Dota2 it has more modes that randomize champion selection so I guess you see more of the less popular heroes that way.

Which explains why the most recent female champion released is completely flat chested...
