I don’t think the trailer looked like garbage and there was no showing or at least introduction of a main antagonist(Jack Sparrow isn’t the main antagonist in any of the POC films in my opinion). Now if you’re referring to Johnny Depp’s personal life well that doesn’t mean the film will be bad either.

I’m personally excited by this trailer and a chance for more POC films. I think it won’t be more of the same, instead like The Force Awakens or every marvel movie it will be More of the Same but Different to quote Max Landis.

She claimed she had previous commitments to other movies so could not return for this film. I think Orlando Bloom’s Davey Jones will show up to help Jack out or explain some plot points. The bulk of the “romance” will be done by newcomers Kaya Scodelario and Brenton Thwaites.

As long as they don’t murder him I think he could be the new Barbossa which is hard to say because I love me some Barbossa.

If they did X-men Pirates they’d only be in it for a few scenes and most of them would be cut to shoehorn Weapon X and other easter eggs in. I think the romance would have worked if it had been spread out over multiple films. Strange Tides just felt like they tried to take elements from all three Pirate movies and cram them into one where Jack was the main character. Bloom is still doing Davey Jones stuff down in the locker so he can pop up at anytime. I don’t think he’ll be a huge character at least in this movie, he’ll probably show up to save Jack or to help him with some problem or explain some plot points then go back where he came from.

The villains are suppose to be ghost pirates who recently escaped the Devil’s Triangle according to the synopsis on the wiki page. As for Knightly not coming back and Bloom returning I think they’ll use Davey Jones as a way to save or explain something to Jack and then he’ll leave.

I loved and still love this show. The only time I was like ugh was the last movie with all that prophecy stuff about magic and what not.

Call me crazy but I want more Nicolas Cage Ghost Rider. The first film isn’t a masterpiece, the only thing I remember about the second one is Idris Elba drinking wine and riding a crappy motorbike but I think Cage could still bring it in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

So this is really a reboot of the incredible movie THE HUNTED where Tommy Lee Jones hunts a government killer played by Del Toro. So in between the badass knife fights and chase scenes the predator will show up. Take my money.

I grew up watching GI Joe, had the toys, shirts etc and the second film was a god awful nightmare that felt like another high concept idea that wanted to be a GI Joe movie and Snake Eyes standalone movie. Nothing about it gave me the joy that the source material did and continues to do.
