Not too sure yet what to make of this show in its entirety, but I can't say I'm not enjoying the actors for the most part.

I'd much rather this be a Cinemax series rather than network TV. I mean, what's the point of this show without gratuitous nudity (not that the movie had that much of it if I remember right)?

Hehe, they are indeed not, true.

Hm, I had something in mind like

Well at least you weren't raped, tortured and castrated first.

I really loved Angel back in the day, the show clicked very well with me, but holy shit, once Connor showed up… It takes a lot for a show I generally like to no longer be enjoyable, because usually once I've invested into the characters there's a lot of love to undo, but that character really did manage that rare feat

It's a perk for the ratings.

As Legion said: "Windows are a structural weakness."

I remember seeing the first trailer for Life some time in 2007 and it being the show I was looking forward by far the most from that cycle. Then it came out and pretty much perfectly clicked with me like few other things I've watched.

or I'm just still pissed about Life being cancelled.

Eh, I wouldn't worry too much. Different people read different things into these matters. I just take that BDSM stuff as the usual cliche of "powerful public figure likes being dominated in the bedroom and we're on cable so we can show it, so edgy!", not much more. Then again, maybe I'm just dumb too. But at least

Honestly, while I mostly like the show, I found myself fast-forwarding through quite a bit of material in the back half of the season. I found they didn't really have enough plot to fill all those minutes compellingly enough to hold my interest throughout. Ah well, such is life.

Why not both?

Oh lord, please not another origin story. I like your idea much better.

While I personally probably wouldn't go that far (too much of a hassle), I don't think I'd keep him around as a friend. There's no way I'd put up with all his crap out of my own free will.

Its soundtrack is one of my favourites from Zimmer. I haven't really been able to dig too deeply into the movie's flaws because each time I'm too distracted by the music (in a good way).

I kept wishing that the show would just switch to Petrov as its primary figure because he seemed to be having way more fun than everyone else.

Yes, as said, I get why they don't do it, commercial reasoning and all that. But in the end, my viewing experience isn't really based on the business behind it all, I get invested in characters and stories, hence why I made that comparison (although admittedly the sanity of getting invested in a character on Game of

I must admit I'm starting to feel my enthusiasm for the MCU wane a bit, or at least for certain parts of it. Despite the fate of the world (or *gasp* the Universe!) being in jeopardy pretty damn frequently, the stakes for our protagonists seem very low in comparison. Or rather, the stakes the characters are aware of

Plus, in Game of Thrones, the roster is actually cleaned a bit once in a while by killing off characters (of course it then goes ahead and adds two new ones for each one killed, but I suppose we can't have everything). The MCU seems to so far be rather averse to that.
