No, I did not just make up that rule, it's the general assumption under which the episode reviews are written. I have no influence over that.

Yeah, that was a bit… baffling. Must've offered him a freaking truckload of money or something.

That must have been awkward…

In general AVC episode reviews are indeed written for people who have watched the episode(s) in question. You don't have to watch them first of course, but that was the general idea last I checked.

I would not want to run afoul of her, that much I'm sure about.

Yeah, I think it makes sense. Foggy just flat-out disregarded Karen's repeated statements that she didn't think the mask was the bad guy and something was off about the whole terrorist angle.

Oh yes, agreed. I didn't mean it as a criticism of the reviewer actually. As you imply, there really wasn't much substance to the show this season. I feld kinda bad for the reviewer actually.

Oh man, I would watch the crap out of that!

I don't even need Reaper, just cast Ray Wise as the devil in the MCU and you would have my gratitute in perpetuity.

Yeah, uhm, I didn't really get that sexual tension thing either, but hey, we all interpret different things into works of fiction I suppose.

Personally I think it was fine just like this. The reviewer mentioned the term, and in context with the episode I knew what he was refering to. This gives me all the needed info in case I get curious and want to know more, but personally I don't really see the need for a TV review to delve deeper into this (of course,

Yeah, wasn't meant as a criticism (or belittling), and I can relate. I remember being haunted by an episode of "The Avengers" where a guy puts on some furry monster costume, climbs up the walls of buildings, goes in through a window and then murders unsuspecting residents in werewolf fashion.

Comic relief and leering at women are not particularly important to you? The audacity! ;-)

I think if you were to ask around, death by fire or similar (boiling, for instance) is probably among the most feared ways to die for most people. At least that would be my guess.

Yeah, I rather enjoy their scenes as well. The priest gets a few pretty damn good lines IMO.

Yeah, Foggy mentions quite a few times over the series' run how important the rule of law is to him, standing up for the little guy within the confines of the legal system and all that. Moreover, it clearly seems that Matt has had significant influence on Foggy in that regard (even drawing Foggy away from that

Don't all mooks come with self-deploying life vests from the mook factory?

While I think I might grade some episodes higher than the reviewer, the criticisms he's mentioned and which I still remember I have found to be pretty valid (the cliche abusive dad in the last episode for example).

I really liked Matt's talk with the priest and his realisation that the devil
"…has somebody he loves, who loves him, would mourn his loss."

So, having just rewatched the episode, I feel compelled to say this: Whether one likes the acting choices D'Onofrio has made with Fisk or not, I think the varying facial expressions going over his face in the scene where he ends up asking Vanessa whether he's a monster are freaking impressive; switching from
