Ah, OK, I think I see where you're coming from.

How about next season we switch to Petrov as the main protagonist? He seems to be having way more fun at being president than Underwood, and seeing their conflict from a reversed POV could make for a nice change of pace.

The (major) deaths are definitely pretty predictable. FFS, Gordon vanished from a picture in the credits sequence in episode 10, that's about as unambiguous as you can get. Although I am actually a bit torn on this issue. On one hand, it's cool to be surprised, on the other hand, picking up on clues here and there and

Yeah, I'm definitely very curious to see how that plays out as well. The location they were shooting at added quite a bit of atmosphere to the show in my humble opinion, so it will be interesting to see how they deal with the location change.

Apologies for the delay, life's currently being a bit hectic.

I've never watched SoA, so I can't comment on that, but I'm in the same boat about Bunker. Even after not having had too much screentime I'm definitely invested in that storyline. And he and Brock make a great duo, I'm curious to see what these two will get up to next season.

Yeah, if you come to the show from the American side it can be a bit weird. I think I originally came across it via imdb, and they have the seasons listed chronologically (season 1 == British season, season 2 == first season on Cinemax and so on), so I never really had that problem, but it seems to be rather prevalent

Hm, never watched SoA so I can't judge on her performance there, but you might be on to something.

Oi Gussie, fancy seeing you here! How's Madeline doing these days? :P

My guess is that Cinemax is striving to be taken more seriously as a TV channel. I've noticed the same trend on Strike Back, and can't even recall any explicity sex scenes on The Knick at all (though it's been a while, if I'm wrong on that one sorry).
Just speculation though. It could also be the shows instead of

True, dubbing certainly introduces a certain delay into the process.

I recently rewatched Strike Back and personally thought that the quality overall has held up pretty well.

I would not be against introducing more female ass-kicking characters to replace the ones which have departed.

"Over/under on how many episodes it takes for Hood to get his badge back from Brock?"

Yes he got his ass handed to him by Hood a few times, but he was not built up as a fighter in this episode (and the kids he beat up a few episodes ago really weren't worthy opponents), especially not one who could take up somebody as skilled as Hood.

The colonel could have faked passing out when she was choking him though.
Gordon's past as a marine has been mentioned quite a few times going back a while. We hadn't really gotten any specifics, but it's been known for a while that he was a vet (also, in the series premiere there's an M16 in the credits scene with Rus

I still really love the show, but in the end there's only so much variety you can bring to a premise like that (terrorist-hunting with lots of killing and occasional fucking), so I think it makes some sense not to let it run too long unless at some point you do a serious revamp of its fundamental structure.

Yes, we're only getting one more season of Strike Back this year and then it's done.

He, good point, that would be a handy skill to have as an assassin. I mean, the dudes on Strike Back (at least Scott) can steal cars too.

Interestingly enough, the damsels can be both male and female on this show.
