Mazda's continuing tease with the Miata. A painfully drawn-out replacement cycle, the chassis display, that Godawful Duran Duran concert that had the unveiling tucked in there, and we still barely know anything about it with any certainty. When is it on sale? How much? How heavy, what kind of mechanical spec will it…
The bans placed on Tesla's direct sales models in certain states. I like the concept of the direct sales models and really don't care for limitations on how a company chooses to sell it's products. Even though I don't see myself owning a Tesla, the bans were a bit of a disappointment to me.
Thanks to their price and reputation as Estate Agent's cars I always forget about the Mini and I really shouldn't it is such a great Hot Hatch.
I'm a fan of Android, maybe even borderline fanboy, and I absolutely DO NOT WANT an intergrated system in my car. Phones and tablets are outdated in 24 months, tops. I want something I can replace and keep up with current tech, not something that looks "so early twenty-teens" for the rest of its existence.
Now, if…
Maybe it makes me a luddite, but I just don't want this sort of thing in my car.
Because it won't sell. Flat out. All the people here on Jalopnik who go on and on and on of "IF THEY MADE THIS I WOULD BUY IT AND SELL EVERYTHING I OWN RIGHT NOW JUST TO OWN IT." In reality when it comes out "well it's a piece of shit. The hazard flasher is too triangular. The wheels aren't the perfect shade of…
The lack of good, large, reasonably new wagons really sucks. I'm looking to replace my CR-V with something that can occasionally tow an Integra or a 240SX and with a commute that involves some of the best driving roads in Kentucky, I'd rather not pick a truck or SUV. I've been looking at wagons, but if I want a…
Here for this. I've always had modified cars, although some of my early mustangs were shit boxes. I was the guy trying his damnedest to keep his fox body between the cones at autocross, surrounded by really awesome guys driving much better cars but whom supported me and cheered me on anyway. Then I would go to the…
OMG, I hate that second guy soooo much. It kind of sucks owning a Subaru because of it. Everyone seems confused by the fact that a - my BRZ is stock, b - it's going to stay mostly stock, and c - that I crush their boosted WRX anyway at the track. I kind of think that the amount of power that one thinks is necessary…
Alonso know this is his last chance to get, that third world title to match his hero Aryton Senna total. so I am willing to give him the benfit of the doubt, as Alonso knows he cannot mess around again as he 33 years old and times not on his side.
I suspect Magnusson has been given a Gentleman's agreement with Ron Dennis that he will have a race seat when the situation calms down a bit. Plus a healthy salary above a usual test drivers and what not(Friday drives, Simulator time, dev feedback etc). He has definitely not been demoted like say Kovalainen was. He is…
The trend of making car models bigger is disappointing.
It's now the most powerful Mini ever made, and substantially juicier than the old JCW. But it's still only marginally quicker than the Cooper S I tested earlier this year, which had 189 horsepower and did zero to 60 mph in 6.4 seconds with an automatic. I have no doubt the JCW will feel quicker, but I was expecting a…
