Here's an FR-S that weighs less than an NC Miata with a hardtop.
And it weighs 700 lbs more than a Toyobaru and 1,000 lbs more than a Miata, "Sports Cars" are generally required to be light and it's not even in the same category imo.

Boring sells. People need toasters and refrigerators and priuss to live with modern amenities and comfort. People still think of a WRX as a boy racer car, people go onto lots and go "hey this is a nifty little sedan, oh it's a WRX? Wow, I like it better than that fully loaded Camry/Fusion/Mazda6 down the road."
They aren't sold out there's a handful sitting on dealership lots and some more being shipped over that may have their buyers back out.
The dude was probably 14 when he set it up when hotmail was cool, that would make him approximately 32 now I think...
lol, someone has a short memory (although I concede they never targeted hot hatches, only sporty coupes which I assume means the Scion TC and uhhh... a Solara? idk):
Probably the same way the CRZ competed in the hot hatch market: poorly.
Troll the world: Kia K900 or Hyundai Equus
Well, yes she did finance it. All LFA's were initially sold as lease agreements, you could not buy the car outright in cash for any amount.
2014+ Mazda3 2.0L gets 40/30 mpg with a manual and if you granny it you can certainly do better, it seems to be top dog for the economy car for enthusiasts.
I vividly remember showing Volvo and VW salesmen features on their car that they did not know about a few months ago, I've never seen those cars before the twnety minutes I spent poking at them: mind blowing. Considering how empty those lots are you'd figure they make them read the users manuals in their downtime.
goddamnit I want a new 6 wagon.
As far as I can tell Mazda is the only automaker in the world that makes that car... :(
This 100% is Honda at it's peak.
If this car was available 6 months ago I would already own it, no performance trim necessary.
You can still legally use public roads with a horse and buggy, I don't think drive-your-own-automobile is disappearing any time soon.
