A mason jar should solve the problem.

Ok. Silicone? Metal? Waxed canvas? Leather? Mason jar? I’m sure a container can be found that will contain diesel.

I know this isn’t very Jalop of me (brown manual diesel wagon and all), but why the F would anyone buy a diesel these days unless whatever country they are in heavily subsidized diesel fuel? If you want economical (and therefore you mostly drive with a light right foot), you can get a 1.5L turbo four engine that still

It’s even dumber VW didn’t make their diesel cars compatible with the larger nozzles.

“I don’t cart this kit around the city as it gets pretty filthy after a single use”

The larger nozzles are so that people can’t put diesel in their gas car. They’ve been around for a bit, and it seems crazy late model VW diesels can’t use them.

Genuinely curious, why are dumbasses responsible for this? I feel your pain though. I was in Michigan about two years ago in my 1995 E300D and had to go to three stations to find a nozzle to fit my car. I figure these larger nozzles are because the gas stations cater to large diesel trucks, like dump trucks or

It was a good truck and should come back

“It won’t tow my trailer with two Bobcats and my mother-in-law. Hard pass!”

You are not wrong. If it doesnt look exactly like this I dont want it.

I wouldn’t complain, and I owned a 2000 Ranger for awhile. Loved it. It had the 4.0 V6 with a manual. Hand cranked windows, manual seats. It did have A/C and a CD player. I wish I had kept it. It had 184k miles on it when I got rid of it, and it was still a solid workhorse.

Can you explain how it’s less practical? It has more passenger volume, more cargo volume, and gets 28/34 mpg. It’s only a 3-4 K price difference, but the Fit MPG is 33/40 so that’s better.

So...

That’s called an HR-V

You fucking dingbat.

Apparently you don’t know what the definition of “US Citizen” is.

Why? It’s a valid point. Jalopnik (like sports) is an escape from politics. What makes automotive journalists qualified to attempt to tell me what to think?

Because it’s a pointless post to do nothing but whine about “republicans so mean” boo hoo.

Jalopnik is a news and opinion website about cars, the automotive industry, racing, transportation, airplanes, technology, motorcycles and much more. We aim to cover these things with honesty, transparency and cheerful belligerence that can’t be found anywhere else.

No, we don’t need to talk about Musk’s pay.
