Not only is Jeremy Clarkson an old curmudgeon who sometimes (almost always) lets his prejudices color his reviews, often to hilarious ends, but he’s also 6'5". What he finds uncomfortable might be just fine for others and vice versa.

I think it’s safe to assume the Germans (and McLaren) basically quote “worst case scenario” horsepower. They probably do this to account for possible variations in fuel quality, altitude, and ambient temperature.

But will it decimate all, with about 15 grand (or more) in overnight parts from Japan?

Not everything does. But sometimes sports and politics (broadly defined) are going to intersect, and locking up when that happens like one of those fainting goats when it is frightened is worthy of derision.
