I don’t think the whole premise is “hot people shoot each other” (though there’s certainly some of that), but I do agree that D.va always struck me the same way—inspired by Japanese mecha fiction but then made Korean for the sake of having a Korean character.
Well, this is an appropriate place to share this:

You are immensely good at your job and I’m glad you’ll get to keep doing it (even if it’s at Wired)!
It became an energy drink enthusiast podcast so gradually that we hardly even noticed!
The thing that’s so astounding to me about this reply is that, as I was crafting my original post, I was thinking of things people might reply with that I wanted to nip in the bud and literally thought, “maybe some absolute idiot will come along and try to nitpick minutia about Warcraft lore but... nah, nobody would…
Oh my god.
I’ve said it before and I won’t just sit here and repeat myself but I’ve been a lifelong fan of Blizzard’s games and the last couple years seeing them change for the worse has been a huge bummer.
The “correct” response was a slap on the wrist saying, “not the time or the place for protest” and moving on instead of the draconian banning, elimination of the two broadcasters, and further banning of subsequent teams that decided to stand with Blitzchung and Hong Kong.

Video not available in the United States BUT as a Sheena Ringo megafan, of course I already have that album on my speed dial.
Actually, it’s completely possible to discuss porn and “the intersection of sex and games” without actually posting porn yourself in the article.
That’s rad.
I think it’ll be a lot easier to handle when it’s orchestral based on my time with the Switch demo. The music is certainly nostalgic for me, which is one reason I’m okay with it, but the midi-quality shenanigans of the first release were just bad and out of place next to the fantastic visuals.

Not to be confused with a “Deeprun Delight”
I’m planning to play Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey more as an academic exercise to see how they represent the concept of evolution. Seems like opinions on whether it’s “fun” are pretty contested, but everyone seems to think the game is doing something interesting at the very least.
Oh, there’s so many. I doubt I’m alone in having a vast library of games I’ve gotten halfway or two thirds of the way through only to lose steam and move on.
Using Chrono Cross as a header image is basically like putting out a special catnip that attracts me specifically, so here I am! I do not believe I ever replied to that article you wrote about it being a “bad sequel” but... well, I certainly can’t agree with that assertation! But let’s not go into that here.
