The thing that’s so astounding to me about this reply is that, as I was crafting my original post, I was thinking of things people might reply with that I wanted to nip in the bud and literally thought, “maybe some absolute idiot will come along and try to nitpick minutia about Warcraft lore but... nah, nobody would Read more

I’ve said it before and I won’t just sit here and repeat myself but I’ve been a lifelong fan of Blizzard’s games and the last couple years seeing them change for the worse has been a huge bummer.

The “correct” response was a slap on the wrist saying, “not the time or the place for protest” and moving on instead of the draconian banning, elimination of the two broadcasters, and further banning of subsequent teams that decided to stand with Blitzchung and Hong Kong. Read more

I’m planning to play Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey more as an academic exercise to see how they represent the concept of evolution. Seems like opinions on whether it’s “fun” are pretty contested, but everyone seems to think the game is doing something interesting at the very least. Read more

Using Chrono Cross as a header image is basically like putting out a special catnip that attracts me specifically, so here I am! I do not believe I ever replied to that article you wrote about it being a “bad sequel” but... well, I certainly can’t agree with that assertation! But let’s not go into that here.

I’ll have to hunt it down, NMS seems pretty “optimized” (if that’s what you want to call it) on PSVR thankfully.

I tried out No Man’s Sky with my PSVR and it is definitely cool (after getting used to the motion controls). I agree about the flight controls. First off, I find flying way more of an ordeal in VR because of the controls, but they’re also vastly more immersive and “fun” than with the controller, in my opinion.

Due to the way eyeballs are immediately drawn to the new-and-shiny, there’s often a limited lifespan on “relevance” of discourse around certain games. For example, even if you were to publish a Fire Emblem Three Houses article today, it’s almost guaranteed fewer people would read it than would have read it three weeks Read more
