I’ll have to hunt it down, NMS seems pretty “optimized” (if that’s what you want to call it) on PSVR thankfully.

(I also love Gita’s coverage of The Sims.)
I tried out No Man’s Sky with my PSVR and it is definitely cool (after getting used to the motion controls). I agree about the flight controls. First off, I find flying way more of an ordeal in VR because of the controls, but they’re also vastly more immersive and “fun” than with the controller, in my opinion.
Due to the way eyeballs are immediately drawn to the new-and-shiny, there’s often a limited lifespan on “relevance” of discourse around certain games. For example, even if you were to publish a Fire Emblem Three Houses article today, it’s almost guaranteed fewer people would read it than would have read it three weeks…
Him saying this caused a 20% spike in GME’s price, which is nice for him given his fund owns 3M shares....
Yes, it seems like it’s basically using memes rather than genes and might focus on cultural evolution rather than biological. Like you said, that makes sense from a straightforward gameplay perspective.
As a real life human geneticist, I’m very interested to see this take on “evolution” and whether it is educating players on how actual “evolution” occurs or if it’s more just co-opting the language of real biology to represent gameplay mechanics.
Tekken 7 is awesome these days, and between Arslan Ash (from Pakistan) and now the South American players, it’s great to see players from regions that historically get slept on showing up and wrecking house.
I can’t think of an example of an “abuser” being blacklisted in Japan like this (not saying there are none, but none come to my mind).
The natural order of the universe is towards entropy: TEAM CHAOS FOREVER
I think a better yet more difficult to implement solution would have been to tweak individual heroes very carefully and slightly because we were already finally seeing solutions to GOATS meta showing up in OWL starting with Sombra in particular and, to a lesser extant, Bastion/Orisa bunkers.
That’s the dream, but I think we all know that we’ll essentially never see a Torb, Sym, or Mei as anything but a detrimental pick except in very niche situations. They just do not give every hero access to enough toys to make them as useful as other heroes generally.
I went back to playing a bit of Overwatch after a good year and a half off just last week and actually found QP, at least, to be far less toxic than it used to be. The commendation system seems to generally work there at preventing most people from being assholes. I had maybe one match where someone was one-tricking…
If there’s one thing I love about Macs, and there is, it’s that I can pop open Terminal, put in a few simple commands, and eliminate buried shit like this easily.
Welcome back Fleshbot, we missed you here on the Gawker Network.
Yeah, I had absolutely no idea what the hell was going on in this meta game when it first went up. I joined Team Corgi because I figured it’d be the most popular and sure enough, it’s blowing everything else out of the water.
If nothing else, the sheer quantity of enraged gamers who have used their anger over this to reveal they have absolutely no idea what an actual human breast looks like nor how bra sizes work has been wonderful, at least.
Hey, it seems like you didn’t understand the post. When the OP said “they’re going for realism”, it was implicit that she was referring to aesthetics of the character and clothing designs.
How about when you’ve got Chris Hardwick lying to all of us via TMZ by neglecting to include text messages between when they split and when she supposedly tried to reconcile? Like the one that Chloe shared yesterday on Twitter?
