Work should be on that list.

...become a good rapper who makes good songs, or get out of the way to make space for someone who will.

To pretend that slaves were never happy or never had a good day or never smiled is to deny them a basic part of their humanity. That some were friendly with or even loved their masters is undeniable.

I call it “two dollars to daydream.” I know I’m not going to win, but I’ll buy a ticket then drive home thinking about all the fun ways I can spend that money. For me, that daydream is worth the $2.

I agree that getting suddenly filthy rich won’t guarantee you happiness and may cause problems. But I’ve never found working in a boring job 8-12 hours a day to stave off poverty is any sort of spiritual Nirvana either. I would be willing to experiment with a different set of problems for awhile.

John Adams: “I must study politics and war, that my sons may have the liberty to study mathematics and philosophy, natural history and naval architecture, in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music, architecture, tapestry, and porcelain.”

People that do the shootings often say the same things you do: Fuck Xmas and fuck America. You’re one of the sheep, and don’t even know it.

Nearly the exact same book (well, a trilogy) was written in the early 90s by Francine Rivers, except it was Romans and Judea instead of Nazis and Europe. The main character was even named Hadassah. For fetishism of Christian/Jewish

Nope, screw “mouth feel,” aspartame tastes gross. Grody gross gross gross.

Forget the ridiculous third reason for a moment. Why do there seem to be so many otherwise intelligent people who don’t seem to understand that the vast majority of the time it’s not appropriate to act on your sexual impulses? Literally everyday of the week I work with and walk by women that I am attracted to,

This was pretty much my thought on the whole thing- Ramsay is a monster, doing as monsters do.

Yeah. That’s the solution people often end up taking to avoid negative PR and it doesn’t really fix anything, especially when those involved don’t ask themselves why they felt so comfortable excluding women in the first place. At most you end up with a few women picked for no reason other than to add “diversity”,

Especially since Whedon quits Twitter like, every other week.
