I absolutely love the original. It’s still played (especially after some adult beverages) in my house fairly frequently. However, I hate what they’ve done to the aesthetic. The backgrounds are ok, but the characters are awful. Absolutely grotesque in a way that I just can’t make myself look at.

On the tap water: It depends actually. As long as there are no unsealed components, batteries, etc. then this will not hurt anything. Warm water may also remove bits of excess flux from the PCBs which in some cases might be beneficial. (at least with some types of flux) Provided that they are properly dried off…

Agreed! I’d say that I use it around 50% of the time. I won’t play Shovel Knight without it, and actually prefer it on the 3DS to other platforms for this reason. It really makes this game pop. Love it for the Zelda games, Mario Kart, etc. too.

Absolutely love these games. I have them on the Wii U (never had the first before that) and now picked this up on Steam. I can only hope they follow it up with the second one. It would be silly not to with the positive responses not only to this, but Nier: Automata. Maybe they could bring over the original Nier…

This is one of the best games to be released in recent years. While it is fairly difficult, it’s the kind of difficult that keeps me trying rather than quitting. There’s a very fine line between the two too. Sure I still scream at the screen, and have urges to throw things, but I go back for that “one more try”…

Ultima VIII was a great choice! I clicked to see if 7 or 8 would be on the list. Pagan is actually one of my favorites.   

Definitely needs Hyper Light Drifter and Axiom Verge on the list.

I have no problem with this. I named my oldest daughter Miette after the character in City of Lost Children. Inspiration can come from just about anywhere.

Oh, I’m all for spending money on something that I think is worthwhile, and that does in fact extend to shoes and clothing, not to mention the shoes and boots I buy for my wife. I just don’t like these particular ones in general. They’re not doing anything for me.

I’m all for game-based/licensed clothing, having just bought one of these: https://us.musterbrand.com/collections/diablo/the-wanderer-332 but I’m really not into the appearance of these shoes. My daughter bought some Mario-themed Vans that I thought were pretty cool though.
