Uh... I just looked up the Pascal-based Tegras used in the automotive space. Looks like about 4 TFlops per chip (the automotive platform uses two of them and is rated at 8). That would place the performance below the new updated versions of XB and PS, but above the current gen ones. Not too bad. (that’s if they use

If it’s a Pascal based iteration of the Tegra line, then it could very well be quite powerful. Definitely enough for Nintendo’s traditional stance on power versus content, and definitely enough for a device that the NX is rumored to be. (portable mainly with dock-ability...) I have one of Nvidia’s X1 based Shield TV

No Master System boxes? I always really liked the look of them. They had the blue and white grid common to all boxes, and then had the art mixed in.

I think they could have allowed a little extra exploration, but I believe they kept it focused (and as a byproduct, linear) to keep the story and progression coherent. It’s basically a playable version of a Ghostbusters movie, and in that context it couldn’t be too much better.

This one was a very good game indeed, and actually makes a better sequel than Ghostbusters 2. (which, yeah, it’s not as good as the first, but I still liked it :D ) The game is incredible though and still holds up great now. My daughters and I still play it every so often. I love that you get to go more in depth into

This looks like it might have the feel of Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, which is a favorite of mine. I think I’m going to pick it up. I loved all the little addons you could get for your ship in that game (especially the saw-blade).

Now try Dark Souls :p

Exactly! NES is an acronym. Duh!

This is basic quantum reporting. Duh! :p

It is somewhat ridiculous, and while I really don’t think they had this vision since the early 90s, it does all tie together through this new one, and that is truly a cool thing. It really doesn’t matter if they said this one or that one was a reboot. They all nod in each other’s direction, even from some of the older

Quake actually does fit in. Read the character bios from Quake 3 Arena. I especially like Phobos. He’s got UAC armor, (granted it has lightning on it and its red,) but he’s billed as an early slipgate explorer. Slipgates are the teleportation portals from from the original Quake. This theory can basically made to

Marty Stratton and Robert Duffy have been around a while too. There are still more that we haven’t listed either. Maybe not from day 0, but some early id people are still there.

Yes, they did say this way back when. However, they are all Doom games, and the new one clearly attempts (quite well IMO) to tie them all together a bit more. All of the games reference each other whether tongue in cheek, or directly, and there are even similar references in other id games (or id game spinoffs). We

Wow, your life must be extremely boring. You don’t ever wonder about anything? Everything is just the way it is, and people should shut the fuck up about it? Hmmm... Sad...

Yep, like Link from Zelda. The Doom guy is a Stalfos!

I would agree with this. Doom 3's marine is an integral part of the story, but definitely not a reincarnation of the original and current DoomFellow. More than one thing can be happening in the universe and still be connected I think.

Just because they aren’t cramming convoluted JRPG-Walls of Text down your throat, or forcing long cinematics, doesn’t mean there’s no story. They tell just enough to justify the game play. On top of that, they include the codex for more history, information, lore, etc. (crew logs and emails in Doom 3) the demon

Agreed! I also think Machine Games did a great job with the Wolfenstein franchise. I’m hoping the two of them team up, and bring us a new Quake. :) id’s whole aesthetic has always appealed to me, and this game sits perfectly in their library. I still play all of their games all the way back to Commander Keen on

Those green stones that you touch actually say all of this in the low demony voice throughout hell. It makes quite a bit of sense actually. The first game took place on the moon though, not Mars. So maybe the overarching story is interplanetary in more ways than one. Also, there was quite a bit more lore in RoE too,

There are quite a few of them left actually. Obviously the Johns are gone, and I haven’t heard anything out of Todd Hollenshead in a few years, but they have quite a few recognizable names and faces.
