As opposed to not having to look away from the road in every other car?

“And maybe just maybe SpaceX can get some love again.”
Tesla’s issues aren’t a lack of dealers. Dealers for the most part don’t do bodywork anyways, they farm it out to independent body shops. Tesla’s issue is a lack of parts/response.
Did you even look at that article? The headline is comparing PACK cost for Tesla against CELL cost for GM (there are a lot of parts in a battery pack besides just the cells). Tesla has the lowest pack cost of any EV manufacturer, partly through using less than half the Cobalt in their cell chemistry.
“Electric cars are really not practical as an “only” car for most consumers/households because of range issues, especially in cold or hot climates where the heating and ...”
Tesla has two advantages- battery tech and charging infrastructure.
I get a kick out of all these people that say 20 or 30 min is too long to wait on a charge and they have to fill up in 5 min. If their time is so damned valuable, why are they driving cross country when airplanes are far faster?
You are worried about twice a year trips *insert wanking off motion here.
I always have to laugh when I keep hearing about these “5 minute fillups” from the EV haters. Since most EV owners will leave the house every day with a ‘full tank’, the point is moot most of the time. The only time it would make a difference is when traveling long distance. I have to wonder about how these people do…
If it’s any consolation, we feel the same about gooner supporters. Good luck in the Europa League.
When people ask what Tesla does with all that R&D money, E-tron and recent Daimler half-backed reveal are the perfect illustration.
“no charging infrastructure” an honest or accurate evaluation for when this will be released. No.
“By the time they have this sorted out, the competitors will have more competing products.”
“Q. There are 10,000 other parts in the car, can Tesla make them as cheap as other manufacturers?
“The E-Tron is an example of how Tesla ends”
“A world where the Audi that hasn’t been made yet is more reliable.”
lol. As a recovering Audi owner I can confirm that they are far from problem-free. A bumper falling off would have been the least (and least costly) of my Audi woes.
My assumptions are based on what’s written in the article. If you think that someone who promises you a prototype in 2020 will deliver that prototype on Jan. 1 2020, I have a bridge I’d like to sell you. Further, delivering a prototype will not get a single customer car charged. I think that the Tesla supercharger…
To each their own. You can still be a car guy and like this car. I know that first hand because I like it and my other car in a 72 MG Midget with 13" minilites, toyo R888s, Datsun 5 speed conversion with a short throw, with Winner’s circle panhard bar and front springs, and an uprated 3/4" front roll bar.
It’s not.
