It was a glancing blow with the semi, not a square headon hit.

No, no they are not tough, they are literally a tin can filled with rust here in Michigan. And as someone who was right behind this accident as it happened what the article doesn’t tell you is that the speeds traffic was traveling both directions were less than 40mph closer to 30mph due to white out conditions.
Definitely a track toy. Would have to be detuned to meet GT3 specs. Without a full apec sheet it's tough to say what else would need to be changed but I'd suspect the aero package would also need to be tweaked and probably the weight unless this thing is completely gutted.
While not turbo fans some EV's already come with aero wheel covers, model 3's & model Y's for example. Which is a shame because the actual wheels they use are not that bad looking for an OEM wheel.
AMC Eagle, this brings me back. Growing up in Michigan my siblings and I were always the kids at school on time whenever we had a snow storm thanks to those damn Eagles. Family had several of them and looking back on them now I realize those cars were fricken tanks and took everything you threw at them.
I hope one day he proves me wrong and his demeanor changes. I used to have the same view of Vettel when he was at Red Bull. But once he moved on from the team and relaxed a bit I actually started to like him and discovered he’s actually a stand up guy, he just likes his privacy so we don’t get to see that other side…
For sure, reminds me of Webber and Vettel or Hamilton and Button. There’s always a light and dark side to each roster.
Oh I’m not defending Max at all, I’m just saying I don’t think anyone is surprised by this at all. I think Checo is too nice for his own good and should’ve expected something like this would happen with a teammate like Max.
File this under no one is surprised. Never been a Max fan, just can’t stand the guy but people who casually follow F1 and hear the word “teammate? and think or they work together have not been around racing long. Any F1 driver will tell you your first competitor you need to beat is your teammate, you’re both fighting…
Actually you do. As someone who works in the automated material handling industry there’s many more factors that come into play than just cheap labor when it comes to choosing to automate.
The rated connection cycle is 30 plugs and unplugs. This has been the industry standard for 15yrs+ and is nothing new, molex and 6/8 pin pci-e cables were also rated for 30 cycles but they almost always lasted longer. The issue with the 12pin plug is the cable being bent too close to the connector causing a uneven…
I thought “Pagliacci” was the performance, and the clowns name was Canio...who murders his wife and her lover?
I tried wearing a Bullitt for awhile and wasn’t a fan of the chin bar, I always felt more exposed vs most other full face helmets.
Yeah I view Christian as a mad scientist using his powers for good. I mean he has a villians name and look already haha
I’m a big fan of Gordan, but I’d go so far as to say Christian is a level above him when it comes to engineering. Gordan has his place in automotive fame don’t get me wrong, but the number of things Christian has engineered and patented himself to the point of starting a super car company when he was just 22 yrs old…
I’m sure it’s still running as they are using the Freevalve tech in their new Gemera so they’ve clearly tested it extensively and trust it to the point to put it into a production car.
Won’t happen, Mclaren don’t even run Marlboro logos on the cars when they display them anymore due to legal limitations. Forza did the same thing when they added the 4/4, it was just a plain white and red livery.
Oh for sure, doesn't make it any less cool though.
Not sure why they don’t mention it here but another site mentioned the engine is supplied by Judd so not an Audi variant but an actual race car engine.
“the driver can choose different combinations of gear ratios to shift through manually”
