Carr’s mention of “hypernormal” white-collar psychopaths, Trench’s cautious pessimism about Gunn, and Ford’s immediate submission to Gunn’s vision certainly painted a picture about Gunn and our heroes’ individual approach to the dangerous, warped men they work with.

It literally has owls delivering mail.

I never really cared about the solution, but it mattered to Archer, and I feel like as the show softened him it should've resolved the arc as part of his character arc. That doesn't mean we needed an answer, just that a lesson needed to be imparted.

Archer used to be my favorishow, but I haven’t watched it live in years. My issue isn’t that I think the psychological/plot/lore/whatever stuff should take precedence over the comedy. It’s that if you don’t want to have the audience expect/demand a focus on or resolution of dangling plot threads or mysteries, *don’t

I will be playing Super Mario Maker 2 this weekend. I know the community here has largely withered away since the advent of Kinja, but I will try to post some level codes like in the good old days.

I didn’t get to see Deadwood when it first aired. And thanks to inexplicable technical difficulties, I didn’t get to see the movie until today. Fitting personal circumstances for a fitting finale.

The Tarly offer was very generous compared to what the Westerosi do to one another. Remember how the Queen of Thorns killed herself rather than accept the same fate that Cersei meted out to the Sand Snakes and their mother? Remember how the Northmen went out of their way to execute captured children in defiance of

Not sure I agree with that. Missandei was freed through one of her bouts of brutal justice, and Jorah largely followed her because she consistently seemed like the real deal.

The problem with the show’s handling of that (perfectly good!) macro plot is that it never actually had Dany commit anything approaching an atrocity before despite giving her the opportunity.

This weekend I’m playing Darkwood, which was just released on Switch. I’m not sure what to think of it. It feels a bit like Sunless Sea filtered through the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. It’s very slow, unforgiving, and opaque, but it’s given me enough things to work towards right now that I’m not bouncing off just yet.

I’m not sure that changes the crux of my (admittedly mean-spirited) point.

“It ends up a whole lot of cute, branded nothing—watchable junk for young adults of tomorrow to look back on with inordinate fondness.”

Just an FYI, but the Headless do not reward prayer beads and are not even required to obtain the game’s platinum trophy. There is a second variant of spirit miniboss that is much easier than the Headless once you get the mid-air fatal blow skill, but they, too, do not reward prayer beads and are completely optional,

Decided to pick up Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age on Switch, and it’s a perfect fit for the console. FFXII is probably the slickest game in the franchise for grinding, so being able to sit back and do so while watching TV is a godsend.

I am just one trophy away from the platinum for Sekiro. I need to purchase three skills and I’m done. It’s very rare that I platinum a game and strange that a rock-hard action game is the first title in years that I’m likely to go all the way with, but here I am. It’ll sit proudly alongside my Okami and Sly Cooper

Working my way through NG+1 in Sekiro and playing the new Total Warhammer DLC. Good times.

The Chalice dungeons are such a great concept and so badly executed.

I am still playing Sekiro. I’m in NG+ and have reached the boss fight at the end of the second Hirata Estate memory, and he’s a bastard. I’ve managed to get to his second stage only a couple of times, so I still have to bang my head against him for awhile longer.

Well, as long as you activated some statues in the village first you may have saved yourself a headache.

Have you gotten the other ingredients you are looking for from Senpou Temple and the hidden village? Because, without spoiling anything, you might want to save the Guardian Ape for last if he’s giving you a lot of grief.
