"But it does mean that Jon is likely the true-born heir to the Iron Throne and not Dany"

I'm 100% sure Gendry is a bastard, because Cersei was extremely clear that Robert's sole trueborn son died and no way would she have willingly abandoned a child, even one whose father is Robert. Her fanatical love for her children is well established.

Regarding Tyrion, I think he—and Varys—are getting worked up way too easily over this. Daenarys made a very fair, albeit harsh, offer: submit or die. Tarly's complaint is that she's essentially a foreigner, but Cersei, besides working to adopt the Targaryens' foreign acceptance of incest, blew up the seat of Westerosi

For every "women just aren't interested in X" takes, there are ten "men conspired to lock women out of X" stories. She wrote the premiere and was never asked to join the staff? That's goddamn atrocious.

Norsca is really cool. I had the day off yesterday and managed to actually beat their campaign; they have a lot of neat campaign mechanics that do a much better job of letting you build a narrative than the anemic quests that the game mostly relies on.

Can't believe we didn't get a game article for 1997 week. It was a hell of a year. FF7, Tekken 3, FF Tactics, Goldeneye, Fallout, and more.

The maesters may or may not be the ones who originated the cycle, but they almost certainly have a better understanding of it than they let on. Their goal seems to be to have ultimate control over Westeros by being the only people to offer workable solutions to problems, and they do this by exploiting their knowledge

It's pretty clearly magical in nature. The books strongly imply that the maesters are involved in a lot more magical shit than they let on.

I dunno, Troy Baker did a good job in Arkham Origins.

Does he talk about his role as Wakka in Final Fantasy X and X-2? Or Migelo in FFXII?

"Call the police!"
"I can't, there's no reception!"
"I TOLD YOU NOT TO BUY A VERIZON PHONE!"

Not everyone has a portrait in their attic that ages for them, Dik.

They're one of the most memorable elements to me. So odd. And they speak in iambic pentameter, which is very cool.

Is it a conceit? I got the impression it was created as an actual college course.

*Vaan has access to Horology, Numerology, Measures, Magic Armor, and nothing else. Vaan dies a lot.*

"…Littlefinger."
"Jon Snow. A pleasure, as always."
"I have something for you. What you asked for."
"Indeed? I'm glad to hear you've come around."
"I'm not doing it for you. I'm doing it for the North."
"Well, I'm sure the North will profit as much as I."
"…There's a woman. In the village. She…she experiments."
"Oh?"
"Aye.

I love that the game sets up Archades as operating as some kind of insane gossip den where leveraging information breaks men's lives, but all you do is spread mildly helpful information.

It's what happens when you choke on your popcorn, or attend one of those "Every Marvel movie" marathons.

I just want that sweet, sweet portability.

Don't listen to Ondore's lies!
