I, too, have restarted Breath of the Wild recently. It wasn't so much the DLC as just a lingering sense that I should give the game another whirl. My criticisms of it's barely-there narrative and undercooked characters stand, but it has already demonstrated that the core design is compulsively playable and satisfying.

"Parker says a 'witch hunt is coming' for the show"

And fans would love it because it would have Tom Bombadil and fans are terrible people.

The game definitely gets more challenging as you progress. I'd say the third palace is where it starts to spike up noticeably.

There are several things I might play this weekend, but high on my list is Nemo's War, Victory Point Games' (primarily) solitaire board game in which you take on the role of Captain Nemo and try to reach one of four victory conditions.

It's always felt like a bait-and-switch to me. They promised a comedy about goofy super villains but delivered a generic heartwarming tale about a grump adopting three orphan girls. Fineas and Pherb had that wacky mad scientist, so it's not like children don't respond to the basic concept.

I never understood the love this series got. I'm also pretty sure the Dr. Nefario was ripped wholesale from a Far Side comic, but I haven't been able to prove that (Will Arnett's character in the first film was ripped wholesale from Dilbert, so I'm not just being paranoid).

The only thing that will change is we'll have had a fun holiday over which to forget exactly what we were worked up about and they can squeak by with the bare minimum number of votes without commotion.

Ah. But the pairing of Laura and Mad Sweeney is new, and that episode is (in my opinion) the best of the season because it uses that relationship to find a way to make the side story actually connect with elements of the main plot, specifically the characters.

It's a problem with the book; every other chapter is essentially an unrelated short story that fleshes out the world but has fuck-all to do with the main plot. That's tolerable when you can read a 400 page book at your own pace, but when 20 minutes of an episode in an eight episode season are dedicated to someone who

I thought that was one of the best episodes, myself. We actually got some progress on the plot, with clear stakes and players. Main problem is that it shows Shadow to be unfathomably dense; he should have figured out the whole "gods" angle a lot quicker than that.

I only liked American Gods. Any individual scene is fantastic, but it leans into the aimlessness of the book—its weakest trait—and so feels like it took eight episodes to move the story along about five feet. I'm hoping that the next season puts its fantastic cast to better use and actually commits to telling the

The Last Kingdom is fvcking awesome. It's like a blend of the best elements of Conan the Barbarian and Game of Thrones, but with some actual history rather than being pure fantasy. And it moves at a relentless pace that somehow never feels rushed, ruthlessly cutting the fat without ever sacrificing character

"Five Republican senators have come out against the bill already, putting the whole abominable cash-grab in serious jeopardy."

It makes a lot more sense when you understand that the original product was just soup made from cats.

My boyfriend loves Injustice 2, and has found it to be an extremely rewarding game. And he really likes the loot system; he was able to figure out all sorts of crazy Red Hood combos from some moves he unlocked.

My favorite so far this year isn't even a game from 2017, but Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse from last year. I still haven't really found something to fill the gap since I beat it.

It means feeling really weird when I see pictures of the older films and knowing that Daniel Radcliffe would grow up to be really hot.

I've had the speed boost for a long time. What I need at this point is some kind of improved jump.

That is exactly where I'm stuck right now, and while I realized the possibilities of the wave beam I can't remember any particular area where it would be especially helpful. The map is goddamn useless.
