I don't know if I've encountered that one yet, although Buffs/Debuffs can come in handy in some fights. At least they don't punish you for unknowingly attacking an enemy with something they are resistant to like they do in the SMT games.

I haven't had too many problems with that, but it does seem like the multi-target abilities (like Rampage) are way worse for that than others against enemies and unreasonably strong against your party. I get lots of misses with Rampage but receive a lot of criticals from enemies using it.
Shin Megami games have a problem with artificial difficulty. The battle system heavily rewards you for exploiting weaknesses and punishes you for having your weaknessess exploited. So difficulty boils down to whether or not you have the offensive skills and resistances appropriate for a given area. But since you can't…
The time management stuff gets trickier when you factor in the characters who take forever to increase. I'm flying through Ryuji and Mishima, hovering around 7 stars with each of them. Meanwhile, I desperately want better coffee from Sojiro but he takes forever to develop a connection with. Meanwhile, the Twins want…
Although they're re-tooling The Secret World from the ground up for later this year, so maybe there's some hope yet.
I think the opening scene is there to set up the theme of the season: facts versus stories. The fact is that "Gurka" is going to get detained, probably tortured, very possibly killed by the authorities. The official's justification is just as much of a story as "Gurka's" insistence that there's been a mistake: it…
Well, I guess I need to resume picking up the American Dad DVD sets.
If you want an amazing steak every time, heat up some butter, soy sauce, and garlic in a skillet. Sear both sides of the steak. Then, using a sharp knife, slice the steak into small cubes in the pan. Add a little more butter and soy sauce on top and stir fry until you reach your desired wellness. It's fast, easy,…
Join us tomorrow for "Man Dies Screaming on the Toilet."
That's a great quest, although finding all the artifacts for her to actually finish it up is a huge pain in the ass.
This is the most depressing thing I've learned all day.
When my family lived in Fort Monroe, there was a family of ultra-friendly mallards who would knock on the door every afternoon to get food. They'd let my mom pick up the ducklings and everything.
"But Kong: Skull Island’s Brie Larson was, as The A.V. Club’s A.A. Dowd put it, 'a touch less damsel-in-distress' than her predecessors"
Well, technically Dormammu doesn't exist in the same universe as those others. It's kind of his whole deal.
"What's vertical integration?"
"Imagine that your favourite corn chip manufacturer also owned the number one diarrhea medication."
"That’d be great cuz then they could put a little sample of the medication in each bag."
"Keep thinking."
"Except then they might be tempted to make the corn chips give you…"
"Vertical…
Anyone else notice the sharp edit away from Kathy Bates' character's thoughtful take on how people just want juicy drama from women to something about flipping tables over in a fit?
*Harrison Ford grumbles something under his breath*
Persona 5, baby! I'm nearing the end of the second palace. Some of the writing has been atrocious—the whole counterfeiting scheme is overanalyzed to the point you realize the writers have no idea how counterfeiting works— but the cast is likeable and the pace near perfect.
Why is it only Florida that has problems with alligators? You can find them all the way up into southern North Carolina but I've never heard of anyone running across them.
I don't understand why we don't have Futurama-themed Trionimos.
