To be fair, the market doesn’t seem all that excited about the actual electric F-150 either.

Personally, I prefer that the engineers who build my cars give at least a passing thought to ease of servicing them, not just making them as cheap as possible to assemble.

anyone who willingly bought a cybertruck after knowing everything about Elon and Tesla honestly deserves to have their trucks bricked lol

This has been a case for a long time...

They probably don’t care because they don’t have to. People will line out the door to buy these regardless of build quality - the fanbase is the same type of image-focused people who line up to buy the new iPhone every year. I suspect Tesla would make more of an effort if their build quality started to affect sales.

I actually do have minisplits, and we use the heat from them when the daily lows are 40+, but they can’t keep up well when it’s 10 out.

Electric is nice sometimes, but its never useful. The wife wanted a Sunjoe mower. The battery takes forever to charge. Also, I can mow maybe 1/3rd of my yard before the battery is depleted then I have to wait 3-4hours for it to charge so I can finish the yard... yet I can break out my gas powered mower and have the

I live in a neighborhood of 30-foot-wide lots. A leaf blower is never the answer here

Or like when... oh I don’t know... an earthquake knocks out the power grid for a week?

But it’s not like that’s a problem we have to deal with in Calif...

I think that this small engine ban and the reasons behind it are valid. I also think that battery storage and solar generation has come a long way.

I just bought a leaf blower this weekend.

And for those not living in the swampy states, a big issue is that without running A/C (or a dehumidifier, which is really the same thing just without venting the heat outside), after a week or two your house will start to get moldy inside. It’s not just the inconvenience of being hot and sweaty.

I don’t camp much but I live in Texas so power outages are always a consideration. Usually in summer during hurricane season but apparently we have to worry about winter now too.

The problem with a battery is that it doesn’t generate power. You need electricity to refill it.  This fact alone means a battery based solution will never replace the capabilities of a generator.

He’d love to drop a well balanced high/low force on our bullshit too... His style was solid, but I look forward to Terrell’s as well.

I edited Tyler for years and I can tell you his only allegiance was to combatting bullshit.

Nice dodge to the answer.

“I do not believe in objectivity”

To an extent you are right. Jalopnik has been getting more political with many political stories with the slightest amount of automotive relations shoehorned in. You guys HATE Trump i get it, but me and many people come to read about cars not Trump.

Less politics, more articles about SuperCar Replicas or whatever the

The engine is described as a 2.0-liter, which obviously means that it is the same size as a 2-liter soda bottle. Soda is full of bubbles, and bubbles float. Since ducks also float, it is therefore logical that this engine weighs approximately one duck.
