I believe the patch notes mention that the laser lasts longer and mines resources faster. Inventory slots now hold up to 10,000 in a stack instead of 250.

The weapons were awesome. Dropping pie pans on everyone right after they went off a huge jump is the most satisfying weapon I’ve ever used used in a racer. Parachutes are a close second. Still have a copy to this day. 

Man I can't wait for Return of the Obra Dinn to come to switch. Jason and Kirk got me so hyped for it.
