There are a million people defending Chris Brown in the comments of this Instagram post which is mind blowing. And Tyga even showed up to be all like “hey we all make mistakes can we just have positive energy only” unbelievable

There are so many upstanding well-known men in the black entertainment community, and they chose him? Gross.
I actually stopped watching Black-ish when they put Brown on, despite otherwise loving it. Never regretted it.
I’ve seen it twice, and really want to again. I liked it a lot first viewing, then loved it and noticed more cool stuff on the second.
I love in the fight scene at the beginning when she just straight-up growls at one of the Kree. Hilarious face on Brie right there.
Or hey! Maybe they still wanted people to go see it in theaters.
CM is still in theaters, which is what they wanted.
It annoyed me that people felt the song choice was too on-the-nose and counted that as a strike against it.
Yesss my favorite moment was when she learned she could fly and just having so much fun with it.
It’s called Agency? By the end of the movie she decides when, where and how to use her power.
I’ve seen CM 3 times and honestly I’ve loved it more with each viewing. I can’t wait to see more of Captain Marvel.
I admit that it’s shading, but I feel like in the beginning she blasts him, but it’s not fully intentional and she thinks ‘oh no I shouldn’t have done that’. In the end, she 100% intends to send Yon-Rogg back into a rock and has no qualms or apologies while she does it. The biggest character arc we’ve ever seen in an…
>Having the character spend the first half trying to figure out who
>she is wasted a lot of time that could have been used developing her.
You've never talked to a woman before, have you?
yeah, on rewatch what I really love about CM is that she just loves kicking ass. Like even Thor is motivated by revenge or a mission or something when he fights Surtur/Hela/Loki, and Hulk obviously has a challenging relationship with being OP. But Carol being like “hold up I can chest bump spaceships? WHOOOOO...”…
I suspect that the scene plays differently for men and women. Lots of women have been hearing something akin to what Yon-Rogg’s been dishing out to Carol, so I think that we tend to see ourselves in it. That said, I still think that the movie shows enough of her buying into what Yon-Rogg has said to make it work.
shut up meg.
Both the getting up montage and her final shake-off of Yon-Rogg were moments that just made me so happy.
The Air Force doesn’t care as long as they get new recruits.
I expected the “getting up” montage, which I loved, but her flip of the final battle trope was good, too. I related really deeply to Carol from her innate stubbornness to having to deal with the military’s shit. It was annoying that the character as written demanded that Brie Larson be mostly stoic for this movie, but…
