EDM is an acronym straight men started using so they don't have to admit that they listen to dance music.

EDM is basically a catchall term for most electronic music, though it tends to proabably focus on current stuff which is lot of Dubstep, Trance, and what is often referred to as Big Room House.
Though the throbbing brain I get from 115db beats is not unlike the throbbing brain I get from a KFC meal sodium overdose.

Techno is a subgenre of EDM. Like, dubstep is considered EDM, but techno is not considered dubstep.
