And we know Steve loves Bucky, probably more than he’s loved anyone (even Peggy). We know that Tony has never gotten over the loss of his parents, particularly his dad even though they had a strained relationship. So when the two come to blows because it’s the unstoppable force of Tony’s grief meeting the immovable

I agree that he was great in Infinity War while also not caring about him in his film. I don’t think it’s because we didn’t understand him in Doctor Strange though. I think it’s because the Russo brothers are just much better with characters than other people.

I still can’t believe they didn’t subtitle it Electric Boogaloo, which they absolutely could have gotten away with.

Which movie is it going to be for 2018? Spider-Verse, Black Panther, and Infinity War is TOUGH to choose between. Black Panther is a cultural milestone, Infinity War is one hell of an achievement, and Spider-Verse is phenomenal.

One aspect of the Doctor Strange film that I liked (along with the trippy visuals) is that SPOILER ALERT: He saves the day by essentially forcing Dormammu to chose between giving up, or being stuck with Strange’s annoying ass in a time loop for eternity. Talk about his greatest superpower being within him all along!

It’s almost like they made the test footage specifically to leak it!

I watched that film knowing exactly zero about the character and enjoyed it quite a bit. Great casting, good effects, clever ending based on his primary attribute (intelligence) rather than just blowing it up real good, and a believable arc for Strange.

It’s a miracle to my former pre-teen brain that there would ever be a Dr. Strange movie. That said, he works better in an ensemble than solo. Even in the comics he works better as a supporting character than solo.

I really like it too. I actually just rewatched it last week and I thought it moved really well (I had to pause it at one point and was surprised there was only half an hour left). Despite being an MCU fan, my least favorite parts are the big final battle action set pieces because they usually go on too long for my

I’ve been meaning to watch it again because post-Ragnarok and IW, I realized that I didn’t really get Dr. Strange as a character. And he was awesome in Infinity War.

Doctor Strange is awesome. It was different, in a good way, from the other Marvel movies that came before it, and the character has been awesome in subsequent movies.

“Star Benedict Cumberbatch gives off an unpleasantly uptight vibe throughout”

And as a result (and also because of excellent casting), Tom Holland took the title of Best Live-Action Spider-Man pretty much instantly.

Still though, what the hell is that accent?

I think I’m one of the few who genuinely really liked the movie.

His general arrogance as Strange worked well in Infinity War and the brief section in Thor: Ragnarok, I thought. I especially like his back and forth with Tony Stark, pretty much an arrogance-off.

I think Dr strange should get more credit. Cumberbatch does a great job at playing an asshole bigshot who can't understand his powers. I do think he should have been introduced in age of Ultron though

I can’t remember what I was reading or listening to that discussed Reynold’s handsomeness getting in the way of his comedic sensibilities, but totally agree with that. A jokey attractive guy comes across as too much of an asshole to be likable, so the mask was a must.

I still can’t believe they didn’t try to get Christopher Plummer to play Weasel in Deadpool 2. It would have been an absolutely perfect meta joke.
