Manila/Naomi/Valentina on a single season is certainly gonna bring out a certain competitive charisma this time around. Color me wildly excited to see the Latrila machine back in action!

I was thinking about this. I think it needs to be “rebooted” with black filmmakers in charge. Give them the name and carte blanche to do what they please with the property.

Rogue One is so far my favorite of the franchise. It was the most ‘Hollywood’ classic good adventure film compared to all the rest. They were allowed to just make a good solid blockbuster film and it worked. I’m definitely down for a more adventurous Star Wars series than a lore heavy numbered movie.

Thought Chirrut and Baze were more compelling characters myself, but maybe they feel Cassian was less so because he got short shrift development-wise.

Before television, people would go watch double features and newsreels + shorts all the time.  Theatres were basically giant TVs that people would watch for hours.

For a comedy, yes.

I don’t see the big deal. Some of the biggest hits of all time run into or damn near the 3+ hour range: Titanic, the LOTR / Hobbit films, Harry Potter, Dark Knights... not to mention older critical hits and box-office hits (for their era) like Schindler, Godfather, JFK... Audiences can and will sit for three hours.

Someone should tell him The Force isn’t real and the phone isn’t going to move.

All I know is they better let this man touch Jabba the Hutt.
