It’s just a “premium” feature that probably costs almost nothing. My 2006 CRV had just autodown. My 2007 Accord had auto up/down. When my CRV’s switch went bad, my mechanic apparently put the “wrong” switch in because it auto ups/downs now.

Apparently, this is actually with the OCFA and was helping out. Close enough! I’m just glad there is still at least one Crown running. They dominated Southern Cal in both fire trucks and school busses for decades with the same basic design.
