One of rare times Elon is correct. The Japanese destroyed our electronics industry in the Seventies by subsidizing it, and I’m sure the Chinese will happily do the same thing here.

It’s solid, but isn’t nearly as good as Haagen Daz. And, it shouldn’t be, it costs a lot less.

Yes, as someone who grew up in Southern California decades ago when Tillamook was only available in Oregon, getting Tillamook, especially the Cheddar was something we looked forward to when we visited family near Portland. We’ve actually had Tillamook here in Missouri for  several years, awesome stuff.

The great thing about stability control on a 2006 CRV is that as soon as it comes on, the AWD turns off. You have to turn off stability control if you want all time AWD to work properly. I’ve found at low subdivision speeds in the snow, it actually drives better with the stability control off.

I have a 2006 CRV, albeit with an auto. It’s not a penalty box, but it is a box on wheels. It is slow, handles tippily, and gets mediocre gas mileage. In no way is it an enthusiasts car. I have to admit, it makes a decent sound under full throttle.

You know, Google is free.

So they come with the same warranty a new car came with in the Seventies.

Which is irrelevant as the pilot had nothing to do with it other than safely getting the plane back to the airport. I would expect no more from Elon etc. The original tweet was full of MAGA dipshits shitting on Boeing even though Boeing didn’t build the engine, didn’t do the maintenance on the engine, and the 747 is

It’s the only place still open 24 hours in my area, so yes.

He didn’t.

The semi equivalent of white van driver.

A DEI hire put the soft ball sized hole on the engine? Who else would be carrying around a softball?

Yup, exactly what I was going to post. I couldn’t believe all the moronic replies to the original tweet shitting on Boeing for this. For one thing, the 747 is incredibly reliable, or it wouldn’t have been made for well over 50 years, and like you said, they don’t make the engine or do the maintenance.

IIRC, the Echo, as slow as it was, was the quickest sub compact of it’s time in the US, so it beat at least a few cars.

A surprising amount of Prius drivers where I live drive them like they stole them, which makes me think they are driving their parents cars... Either that, or they’re just over the whole Prius thing.

This is America, there are no true high speed trains, Brightline maxes out at 125 mph. While you’re not wrong, I also don’t feel bad for people who die by evading crossing gates. I’m sure this isn’t the only dangerous and self centered driving they’ve done.

I think most, if not all people dying on Brightline tracks are idiots illegally going through level crossings.

No, Florida has the highest density of dense people who can’t be bothered to stop for trains.

Yes, seriously if you actually pay attention to what Trump says he’s going to do.

What’s amazing is that California allowed old school Diesel Crown school busses to operate until fairly recently. I think some may still be used by rural school districts. We’re talking busses a minimum of 20 years old, and some much older. The old Detroit Diesels were apparently indestructible but were very
